First of all, thank you all for trying out my little game! It's my first "proper" release, so looking at the responses, both on and off Steam, has been absolutely [strike]terrifying[/strike] invigorating. I'm no good with abstracted interpersonal communication, so let me use this update to attach this letter of personal gratitude to everyone who decided to try out a release from an unknown dev with no prior published work. The fact that my own self-developed, self-published game is here on Steam, to me, is an achievement in itself, and the fact that people give it attention is an even greater reward. Meet Her There has received some reviews, and consciously or subconsciously, a lot of them point to the final part of the game not being clear enough, both emotionally and narratively. I realized that my intentions and the emotions I tried to express in the final sequence, have been less than perfectly translated. So, I decided to edit and slightly expand the narrative of the very final stretch of the story. The difference is rather small. There's a couple of edited screens, no new scenes, changes to any events, plot points, or characters' personalities. If you play the finale and think that nothing has really changed, then great! That's been the intention. But hopefully, if you thought the ending could have been clearer, then, well hopefully it is now. The update should be going out along with this message, so if it's not, [strike]I messed up somewhere[/strike] our specialized technicians will deliver it to you shortly. Ok, it's very weird to post long-form posts about a short-form game, so in short, once again, thank you all for playing, and hopefully this update makes the ending flow a bit better.

About:
Meet Her There is a short, intense, emotional time-loop, in which you're stuck reliving the same day over and over, trying to reach a person you love. It is an ultra-stylized visual novel, made entirely in 2 colors.Originally a statement on time-loop narratives, it went on to become something a bit more ambitious, although it is still a very small-scale, intimate project.

Developed and published by me. Hi, I'm H_AK. I created the entirety of the story, assets and music in this game.Genre: Interactive Narrative, Visual Novel
While I wouldn't call it a proper visual novel myself, it is built using a modified RenPy engine, so it should be a familiar gameplay experience to everyone who has experience with visual novels.Content Warning: suicidal themes, foul language.
This is a very intense story with a very dark theme underneath, but I believe that these types of stories are important to explore. There's no graphic violence and I tried to approach the topics with an appropriate level of responsibility, but at the end of the day this is a pretty heavy game so I hope that you're approaching it knowing that its contents might be emotionally upsetting. It is also entirely a work of fiction, and any semblance to existing people, living or dead, is purely coincidental.Reviews:
Meet Her There received some great responses from the people who have played its development builds so far. Here's a couple of quotes from the responses I've received:- love the art, the sound design, and the dialogue was very well done
- short but pretty compelling. The visual style perfectly suited the dark subject matter
- great writing and story telling
I hope that you like it as well.
Cheers, H_AK.
