Alright this is gonna be a short little announcement, but happy pride month everyone! I've added a whole 3 new profile pictures, each one a different pride flag! Anyway I hope you enjoy these new PFPs, I'm still working hard on Version 1.2, so stay tuned for potential update news!
As I continue work on Meeple Jump version 1.2 (oh boy is this taking a long time to develop) I thought it could be fun to share another preview of what I've been working on since V1.1.1! Last time I showed off one of the new cosmetics that will be added to the game, today I'll show a portion of the newest act! (oh hey look at that, the new level mechanic, wonder what it does).
Okay well that's all I'm gona show for now, stay tuned for more news regarding Meeple Jump Part Two, Act Two!
Previously, I announced that Meeple Jump version 1.2 would be releasing on January 24th, 2024. Since then I have been juggling a few projects (including 1.2) and dealing with some burnout after the release of Meeple Jump, and the incredibly fast development cycle for version 1.1
In 1.2 I wanted to take time to fix some bugs and add some QOL that I feel the game has been missing, as well as add new cosmetics. 1.1 featured none of these, and therefore took a lot less time to develop. I will be announcing the updated release date for version 1.2 at a later date, so stay tuned! To apologize, I'll even show you the modified Meeple Jump logo that I made for version 1.2's new act!
So, for some reason some of the library assets broke, but I'm here to tell you that its back! (just one of the many things I've fixed while working on Meeple Jump 1.2). To thank you for your time, here's some EXCLUSIVE update news. Unlike in version 1.1, v1.2 will be adding multiple new purchasable accessories including the bow tie! Here's an in-development (but probably final) preview of the new tie!
- Fixed issue in Part Two, Act One in which the game would occasionally boot to a black screen upon the completion of Level 2.
The first of two acts in Part two is released! Along with that, I will be announcing the release date for Part two, Act two at the end of the patch notes! Enter the rain, an ancient structure in the center of a lake, faithfully re-created in our wonderful training simulation! These structures are bigger than anything we've seen, so using the new cannons to traverse these ruins is a must. (ok now for the changes) - Added Part 2, Act 1. - Added new level mechanic, the cannon assists the player to travel through larger levels in a short amount of time. - Added a new crown accessory for completing Part 2, Act 1. - Collected gems in a given level no longer disappear if you re-enter a level without having previously entered the teleporter. - Fixed typo found in the English translation of the crown unlock screens. - Crown unlock screens at the end of each act now properly translate to Spanish. - Cancelling a new game startup no longer deletes any data. - Fixed an issue related to V1.0.2 in the crown unlock screens. - Exiting the level selection screen now properly displays the act selection screen. - Added 3 new achievements. (as for the next update) As development is pausing until the new year, it will be a bit of a longer wait until the next update. Even still, you won't have to wait too long as Part two, Act two will be releasing as part of Meeple Jump version 1.2 on January 24th, 2024! Until then, enjoy the new act!
- Added Part two, Act one to the act select screen. It is currently inaccessible. - Fixed major bugs around fixes in V1.0.2 - Added notification screens when you unlock crowns at the end of an act.
- Added the ability to fast-fall by moving the joystick down
- Fixed a major bug at the end of Part One, Act Two.
- Fixed issue with the controller joystick occasionally causing the player to fast-fall or jump.

PART ONE CONTAINS
- The I-MEEPLE, a guidance module designed to give you useful (and sometimes really useless) information, exactly when you need it! (please note, I-MEEPLE is prone to occasionally giving you information when you do not need it)
- Cool and interesting game mechanics in each world, all of them really fun! (please note, "cool", "interesting", and "fun" are subjective terms and levels of such cannot be stated objectively)
- A number of worlds that is greater than 1. (please note, "numbers" are objective and levels of such can be stated objectively)
- Lava! Lava is super cool and you definitely won't fall in it a lot and also there are other things that kill you too but don't worry you won't die a singular time in my game!!!!! (please note, that statement is objectively false)
- The Main Meeple, You! We at BettaBowlGames went through a ton of playtesting of Meeple Jump, and results were always more positive when the playtester could play the game! (please note, "positive" is a subjective statement, yet somehow we know that this is objectively true)
- A storyline... somehow. Yes, somehow we got a storyline that made at least 1 sense into the meeple game! The quality of which, we are unsure. (please note, here at "BettaBowlGames" we for some reason put effort into the plot of Meeple Jump, why? Don't ask us, we probably don't know... I think.)
Oh huh, you're still here. This either means that you actually care what I have to say, or you for some reason stuck around, even though you had no intention of Wishlisting. Well I'll go ahead and blindly assume the former!
Anyhoodle, buy Meeple Jump or Else!
