Hello everyone, After careful consideration of whats best for the game and its future, Ive decided to release Tome of Fates as a free-to-play! This transition will happen on Friday, February 21, 2025. Until then, the game remains available for purchase, and once Steam updates the listing, it will officially be free for everyone to enjoy. Update 36 Patch 1.0.21 This will likely be the final update before the full release! Im very happy with the current state of the game. While theres always room for more features and improvements, I believe this is a strong foundation to build upon. As a sneak peek of whats coming next, Ive added Chapter 1 of the upcoming story, which Ill be focusing on over the next few months to prepare for its release. One of my key priorities has always been ensuring backward compatibility. This means that all the stories created by players will remain fully functional in future versions of the game. Weekly Update 19 Patch 1.0.4 Hey, Quick update on where the game is going. I am switching gears and will start focusing on what I do best, programming. There are lots of features that I want to implement in the game, but haven't had the time yet due to splitting my focus into many areas. I have onboarded 2 writers to help write new (and much better) stories, and I am very excited to soon show the work they are putting together. I am also working with a UI/UX artist to help transition some of the game interfaces that were poorly (ATROCIOUSLY) conceived by me. There is the new story released with this patch, I would love to hear how you feel about it, if there is any issue, if it's too hard or anything else you'd like to add! Weekly Update 12 Demo Update Patch 0.2.2 I received great feedback from the community this week which really helps drive the changes set for this patch. Shoutout to "GregorianHipster" for streaming the game and generating a healthy conversation about the game. The chat provided great feedback that I went on to action right away! The game will now be released under early access instead on Nov 10, our main driving factor was that the game would benefit greatly from the feedback and that we are not done making the game better and creating new content for it. They now give primary stats, while weapon/armor gives attack/defence.
