Hi there ghost hunters!! I am sorry that I have to say this, but I value transparency with you dudes. I want to let you guys know that I will not be working on Untitled Ghost Game ever again. Definitely.
Why?
The networking framework limits the amount of players on multiplayer to 20. To support the current amount of player, it kind of works well enough, although it goes offline when there are too many people. Since it goes offline sometimes with just a average of like 10 players (it peaks above 20), if the game were to grow in players, the servers would constantly be shut down. This means that updating and supporting the game is going to make multiplayer unplayable. The server costs about 8$ a month to support 100 players, which get's expensive (I am a college student) and I am not making any money back to pay for the servers.
On another note...
Some of my developer friends recommended adding a DLC to unlock all of the skins and maps, although I prefer to keep this game completely free. I never intended to make money off of this game, it was practice and a passion project. I also feel as if it would be pretty scummy to update the game just so you have a way to give me money.
What now?

I have learned a lot from Untitled Ghost Game about what not to do, so I will not run into the same problems. All work on Untitled Ghost Game is stopping. I am going to college so I dont have time to work on the game anymore, especially since it is so stressful and draining for me. Maybe one day in the future I will try to fix some things but as of right now its over. Thank you guys for all of your support. Fixes: -Fixed extreme amount of xp rewarded (It was because of the difficulty being incorrect) -Reset levels of people over level 200 (No one has gotten to that level legit. -Fixed hiding times -Fixed items breaking If there are no more game breaking bugs, i will start working on cool stuff :)
Things changed: -Base 'time before hunting' value before the influence from difficulty 70s -> 50s (It gets divided by the difficulty to a max amount of 3). This means that on doom mode the ghost can hunt in 16 seconds. (50 seconds / 3 difficulty) -Made multiplayer have set value instead of being affected by amount of players in lobby (Temporary until level fix) -Changed daily reward amount and type: From dubcoins 100 -> xp 500 TLDR for first one: Difficulty increase for harder difficulties (By decreasing hunt grace period and the time before the ghost hunts).

Things fixed: -Light flickering indefinitely after hunt -Ghost not having grace period Things changed: -Grace period base went from 40->50 seconds The function: gracePeriod = 50f / Mathf.Clamp(difficulty, 1f, 2f); -Lowered ghost hunt speed from 110 to 100 -Lowered ghost idle speed from 100 to 70 -Made hiding spots have less probability of breaking I changed the divider of difficulty to 4 instead of 3. This will make difficulty not influence the breaking chance as much, so hopefully hiding spots on doom are not insta-destroyed anymore chance = Random.Range(0, (int)((75 / (difficulty / 4)) - TAR));
Things changed: -Made in-game chat better -Made the bug where you're unable to pickup items fixed temporarily -Increased grace period from gracePeriod = 25 base to 40 base (Base meaning before difficulty is applied, which decreases grace period time) -Changed daily quest reward from 20 -> 100 and it is now "Dubcoins" instead of "Points". Interactive items and several unique maps
Step into the shoes of a paranormal investigator armed with an arsenal of ghost hunting equipment, including an EMF reader, a Luigi board, a thermometer, a clock, a spirit box, a sketchbook, and a geiger counter. Gameplay mechanics and loop
Your objective is to use your equipment to locate the ghost and ghost room to see how it interacts with the environment, items, and hiding places. Once you have gathered enough information, it's up to you to make an educated guess about the type of ghost you're dealing with. Once you've made your guess, the exorcist can come in and take care of the ghost.
