  • Imperial Fists playable chapter
  • Full Shield of Retribution Campaign with 15 story missions and 20 flash missions
  • Tarantula heavy bolter turret as automated game unit
Imperial Fists generate less heat on their bolters and sergeants have the option to carry a single Tarantula into combat. They have a high defense bonus of +10, but have sacrificed the ability to use psychers. Tarantula turrets exist in 2 versions. One with 180 degree overwatch cone and low ammo count and the upgraded 360 degree vision and high ammo version. Shield of Retribution campaign contains 15-20 hours of additional gameplay with a brand new story. The missions are set up for the Imperial Fists and Tarantulas, but is perfectly playable with the other chapters. In this mission, the Imperial Fists discover an ancient Imperial vessel that has to be broken free and recovered. Features and Improvements (free for all)
  • 3 new Blood Angels only psychic effects (Blood Boil, Smite, Shield of Sanguinius)
  • Intro movie added
  • Custom difficulty (YAY!!!)
  • New additional achievements for the Imperial Fists
  • Flamers use toughness test for hitting instead of normal shooting formula

  • Cleaner customizer UI for PSI powers
Balancing
  • Tweaks to Storm Bolter +2 attack
  • SW mission 3 made more difficult
  • Acid/fire skills unlock earlier for melee units
  • Doors Toughness has been raised from 5 to 6.

  • Exploded doors do not reappear in defend missions on load
  • Ghost Genestealers in overwatch
  • Holes in ground do not block LOS anymore

    Additional Weapons, Tactical Options and Game Rules
    Game mechanics have been reworked to make Space Hulk Ascension a true video game experience. Combi-weapons (Combi-Melta, Combi-Plasma and a Combi-Flamer) have been added to the game as well different firing modes like aimed shots and alternate flamer patterns.

    Genestealer Variations
    Genestealers with Fleshhook, Feeder Tendril and Acid Maw biomorphs have been added to the game, each with their own special game mechanics. You can also encounter biomorphs with scythes that have multiple attacks or carapace for increased armor.
