The 0.60.x build should improve the stability of the game. The main focus of this release is to improve stability by: 1. changing the build process to Godot v4.1.1. 2. update the build to use the production build. 3. change how scenes transition. All these changes should combine into more stability. There are some other small changes to the game. 1. When using the menus the farmer's voice has been replaced with a whistle 2. If you look very carefully at the top of the map you'll see a glimpse of the next town... but it's still not accessible yet.
Today's update changes the sheep's behaviour in a couple of ways. 1. When a sheep is close to another sheep but there's a fence or pen between them they will no longer influence each other. You'll notice this mostly when you're trying to herd sheep around the pen and you have some in the pen and some outside, before today's update the sheep in the pen would move around a lot because of the influence from those outside the pen. 2. Sheep will now turn away from pens and fences, in the same way they do with walls. This makes it easier to get the sheep through gates and also means fewer sheep getting stuck in corners. Enjoy! And happy herding!
All things being well, if you're a solo player you'll barely notice this update. But if you're playing multiplayer this is an exciting one. With v0.58.2 I've updated the camera for multiplayer so it zooms out when you're far away from the other players. Also, if you're playing with three or four players and you're out on your own the camera will ensure it's taking that into account too. Previously the camera took an average of all positions which would mean any rogue players would go off screen. Let me know how you find this update in the discussions.
This release makes two changes: 1. Implements WASD controls across the game. Previously the WASD keys worked when playing the game, but not when navigating menus. That's now fixed. 2. Fixes a bug on the versus games where the dog would disappear through the floor. It was reported as happening on the corn level, but the bug had the potential to affect any PvP sheep-dog trials. Enjoy the fixes folks. And be sure to keep letting me know where the bugs lie and I'll keep squashing them. Keep track of my progress on the Trello board for the game: https://trello.com/b/3aDRDMVn/too-many-sheep-roadmap
Small update today that adds a horn to the car. When you're driving around you can now press the "bark" button and it will beep the car horn. Thanks for the suggestion from one of the reviewers :)
Hi folks, I've added the Mac build of the game for release today. I've only for a 2016 Intel Mac to test this one, so if you have something a little beefier, please let me know if it plays like in the trailers. My 2016 mac runs the game, albeit quite slowly!
Hi folks, I made some minor changes to the game today. 1. The instructions on the title screen appeared off the screen. They should now be visible 2. A change to how the game is built that should help with stability for some folks playing. I had reports of people playing the game whilst using OBS and it crashing occasionally. This build should help. Enjoy!
