A much-requested feature: you can now play Story mode matches in co-op with up to 4 players. You'll need to enable Play Matches in Co-op in the Advanced Settings menu when creating a new Story file, or you can enable the setting in the Settings menu in the Story mode pause menu to play co-op on an existing file.

The first time you run this version, you'll be asked to select your preferred language. You won't be asked again the next time you run the game (or any time after), but you can change the language again from the Settings menu (Ajustes // Configuraes). Full list of changes:

Small but mighty patch. If you played before on an Intel Mac and noticed that achievements weren't unlocking, this should now be fixed! Unfortunately, you'll need to start a new Story mode file to unlock all achievements; sorry!

• Bugfix: Steam integration doesn't run on Intel Macs, which means achievements don't unlock.
• Bugfix: typos and text errors in Story dialog.

• 1.0.11a: increased macOS Steamworks backwards compatibility from Monterey to El Capitan.
• 1.0.11b: fixed crash when loading university level.

Tiny patch addressing one specific issue.

• Bugfix: match softlocks if every player for a team is sent off.
  • Matches will now be automatically forfeited if a team has 5 or more players sent off.

Small patch with big consequences, hopefully!

• Improvement: physics and AI optimisations to reduce CPU usage
• Improvement: added support for mapping keyboard controls to numpad keys
• Bugfix: match pause menu indicates that menu can be closed with B (Xbox)/Circle (Playstation)/X (keyboard), even though this isn't possible.

• Improvement: remappable keyboard controls!
• Improvement: actions can be mapped to L1+R1/LB+RB buttons for controllers.
• Improvement: reduced memory footprint slightly.
• Bugfix: two controllers on the same team can inadvertently select the same player.
• Bugfix: one controller can sometimes take control of a player already controlled by another human.
• Bugfix: closing speech bubble too quickly crashes game.

• Bugfix: player sometimes gets stuck behind pub bar after first pub cutscene.
• Bugfix: player can't go back from tactics screen before Story Mode match.
• Improvement: easier to tell if challenges are completed or unredeemed.
• Improvement: reduced memory footprint slightly.

• Bugfix: goalkeepers don't always retreat to their goal if they dribble the ball out too far.
• Bugfix: World Renowned achievement doesn't always unlock when players appear to have a perfect Reputation.
• Bugfix: power bar is shown for throw-ins when holding buttons for Cross or Shoot, even though players can't Cross or Shoot from throw-ins.
• Bugfix: player can clip through one of the rocks on the beach.
• Bugfix: replay GIFs render with black bars if game resolution is not 16:9.
• Bugfix: memory isn't completely freed after matches finish, and eventually starts slowing the game down after a couple of hours.
• Improvement: on-screen keyboard cursor wraps in horizontal direction.

Massive thanks to everyone who has bought and played Bang Average Football so far! This is a small update with some quality-of-life tweaks and fixes based on early feedback.

• Easy & Medium difficulties rebalanced slightly. Your own team's stats will be slightly boosted on these difficulties. This should help make it easier to score at the beginning of Story mode when your team is horrendous.
• Added dedicated Shift + Caps Lock keys to on-screen keyboard, and added a page of special unicode characters.
• Camera position in replay GIFs is interpolated more to prevent unpleasant jerking and twitching.
• Fixed a typo in some Story mode dialogue.
