Hello dear Saeges!
The holidays are coming and we hope you are ready to enjoy a well deserved break! You made it throught another year and we are so proud of you! (...and of ourselves too, yay :D)
Eat some delicious meals, take long naps, play all the games you couldn't during the year (there were so many great ones!), but most of all just enjoy everything that makes you feel cozy and relaxed .
A look back and a look ahead
This year was particularly hard for us, with many health (cough~ cough~ dang it COVID, cough cough~), work and personal issues happening almost every month. The most recent one being gas leak just a couple of weeks ago. Even though calling the fire department is something I never imagined I'd have to do, at this point ending such an eventful year with a firetruck outside our home seemed...almost funnily appropriate.
But we're ok, don't worry! It ended up being just a small scare :)
And despite all the moments like this, there have been tons of nice things this year as well
Farmwand has gotten almost 4000 new wishlists this year (hooray!). A fair bit of them came from the coverage we got from a few wonderful cozy influencers, like
Sarah Sunstone and
The Cozy Gaming Club.
Many more came from the customization demo we released in June. We were SO NERVOUS and then SO HAPPY to share with you a small bit of what we'd been working on, to give you a small taste of what Farmwand is shaping up to be. If you played it we hope you had a lot of fun, but if you missed it don't worry, a bigger Farmwand demo packed with a whole lot gameplay will come next year! :D

And, if everything goes according to plan, our Early Access will be coming too.
We also made lots of progress in building the world by adding many new areas, biomes, and creatures.

Lots, and lots of things...

But there were also TONS, and TONS of big improvements to the code-portion and gameplay of the game. We implemented co-op gameplay, spells, a brand new UI...

And we added some brand-new upscaling algorithms (like FSR 3 to get smooth framerates in old and low-end graphics cards), improving all the saving and loading setups and a lot of work for the Weather sims, AI (the good, ol-fashioned kind, the one that controls our NPCs!), rendering and more.
All the feedback, encouragement and support we've received really helps and motivates us so much to keep improving our game. It makes all the struggles worth it, and has helped us achieve results that we didn't think were possible for our tiny team of two!
A last thing...
It is almost Christmas and we wanted to give you all something nice that you can actually use. So we decided to release on our Patreon a little set of printable Christmas gift-tags!

It is available to all of our Patreons (no need to pay, you can join for free!) so you can head there and download them right now :)
The printable gift-tags, in PDF format, on our Patreon.
Thank you for believing in us and believing in Farmwand. We're working really hard to bring you the best version of our project, as hard as we both can, feeling super thankful every day for being able to share with you this journey.
You are truly an amazing community. Thank you for your support, we can't wait to see you next year!
Happy holidays, and a great 2025 to allofyou!
