#1 Into The Swamp

Text from the original post So, in the last sneak peek you saw the new area from high up, today we're taking a closer look! I took this screenshot in today's bi-weekly progress meeting with the team and it's your first look at the flooded swamp land that you will find in the new area we are working on. You can also get a sense, looking at the aerial view above, roughly where this flooded barn might be and get a sense of the scale we're trying to build in Ardem!

#2 Farms in the New Area

Text for the original post "...it was when farms began to fail that we truly understood, nothing was going to be the same anymore." - Survivor 217 It's another sneak peek at the new area we're building! This time it's an abandoned farm which you can stumble across. The whole area features a lot of what was previously farm land. Possibly great to build a new future on, possibly not. Time will tell. We love putting these points of interest into the game and trying to tell a little story just using the environment. Be sure to check back here next week as we may have some news on how you could get involved with that as well...

#3 Corn with a C

Staying fed will be a big part of Ardem, and farming will be something a survivor can work towards! Maybe you'll be the Farmer on your server? Though, you'll probably need either some good defences, or some agreements with other clans to protect your crops. Or maybe you just stay a little more low key and just farm for yourself.

#4 The Fog Descends on the Swamp

Text from the original post You may have seen the area in our latest dev diary, or some of the maps above, that feature a "swampy" terrain. Well, here we are experimenting with trying to bring that swamp atmosphere with some volumetric fog. We're not saying there's anything spooky in the swamp. We are not saying that. It just, I mean, it looks both spooky and chill at the same time, right?!
