Mushy Score is released!
Defeat enemies and upgrade your character with elemental powers while protecting you home!
In the release of Mushy Score you can expect three different elementals and three different elemental combos. There are three different levels and three difficulty levels. If this is not enough, you can also try to get high score in the endless mode. Many prerelease tested completed all levels with first run but that was because of bug that prevented player from taking damage from some enemies. Challenge of the game should be now much better!
Game will have minor patches after the release. I am already working on adding more elemental powers to add variety to the game.

Hello everyone! It has been over year since I started the development of the Mushy Score and I am proud of how much progress the game has made. My goal of releasing it on Q1 2024 is coming close and I am happy to say that game is almost ready for the release. It just need more polishing touches and some additional features to extend the playtime. I created a devlog video about my one year journey. Go check it out:

It has been a while since latest update and game has evolved a lot since. Biggest change in the game is the Elemental Power system.
Start of each run player can choose one elemental power. Currently available powers are Fire, Rock and Ice. These will improve players projectile and define up coming power ups. For example you can choose fire as your starting elemental power which will burn enemies. Later you are given choice to choose of one fire related power ups like fire shield or enemies dropping fire.
These elemental powers will make each run more exiting! But there more! You can also choose secondary power up and that will be used as your strong attack! This will unlock new elemental power ups for you! And later you will receive the elemental power up combination! This combines the effects of both of you chosen elemental powers. For example Fire and Rock will burn and stun enemies! This will be huge power boost for the player and offer variety for runs!
With elemental powers you will also receive some minor upgrades. These are generic upgrades that are offered to you regardless of the elemental power you choose. These are some basic stuff like increase max health, move speed or attack range. These effects stack and can give you huge power boost in long run.
Now powers come with new challenges as I added a lot of new enemies! Here are some of new enemies:
Summoner plant. Spawns army of smaller plants
Rock worm. Shoot boulders from long range
Flying plant. Flying enemy

Hello everyone!
I have made huge changes to Mushy Score that improves the gameplay and polishes the experience. Hopefully you will enjoy the changes!
Gameplay improvements
Player's jumping is finally improved and now it feels more responsive. It will still need some polishing, but this is much better than the previous version. There are also major changes to gameplay. Enemies no longer drop dirt patches, instead you have two static spots for the dirt and you can use these to plant flowers. Planting flowers cost one mana gem. You can also use mana gems for upgrades that are available between levels. Now it is more like an actual roguelike!
Setting Updates
Setting menu got a visual update and couple new settings such as separate volume for music and sfx. We also got new menu for changing the keybinds. Please leave feedback if you would want even more options!
Graphics improvements
I updated some assets and now they have new look. Placeholder art for the heal and mana gem pick ups have been updated. Enemies also have death animations so game will feel more polished.

Now that I got settings menu improvements out of the way I can again focus on gameplay features! You can expect more enemies, power ups and flowers! Try out the demo, wishlist game on Steam and stay tuned for updates!
