Hello everyone! I know you are eagerly awaiting the release of Chapter 10. And while it's getting closer every day, it's still far from ready. I've been struggling a bit with some technical and external issues, but don't worry, the next chapter is coming. You can see some previews of what is to come below. In the meantime, I have released a small update to the current version of the game. The update fixes some minor issues (some images in the gallery were never unlocked) and adds a new "feature": the game now displays a detailed portrait of the key characters when you first meet them and at other key moments in the game.

Hello everyone, I have released a small update to Chapter 9 to address some issues and concerns. Thank you all for your reports/suggestions. List of changes:

• Changed the tattoo scene to make it feel less rushed and less forced
• Added a new conclusion to the dinner scene for gentle Kalie
• Added a new Stats screen showing Kalie's and the protagonist's current state of mind (accessible via the Stats link at the bottom of the screen)
• Fixed several missing captions, sound effects and decals
• Balanced the number of gentle/evil points Kalie can get over the course of the game

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I am here to give you a progress report on Chapter 9. There will be 11 segments in this chapter, some of which are optional. This is actually the same situation as the previous chapter. Of the 11 segments, 7 are completely rendered and one is partially done. Which unfortunately means that there's still a lot of work to be done. For this reason I won't give you any release dates, except for the vague "sometime in September". Development is progressing smoothly and steadily, just not as fast as I'd like. Thank you for your support and patience! Fancy a romantic dinner?

And things are not going so well for her after the security incident. Speaking of the incident, Barbie is out for revenge. Or not, depending on your actions in the previous chapters :) Next we will visit Dr. Clare in her lab and meet her new assistants. Hello everyone, I'm here with another Gynocracy Chapter 8 progress report. Hopefully this will be the last one before the release. My goal with chapter 8 was to create a kind of "fan service" chapter and to include some optional scenes that were requested by the players. In the end, there are four optional scenes (with some variations). The side effect is that I had to do a lot of renders. Not that I complain, I enjoy working on them, but it takes time. So I apologize for taking so long. In terms of the number of renders, chapter 8 is currently the biggest - by far! Chapter 7 Progress Report

The development of Chapter 7 is progressing nicely. Here are some previews (warning, mild spoilers ahead): Our protagonist visits the historical part of Valasca City, where he meets The Brats.
Danielle tells the protagonist a medieval legend. It's kind of a story-within-a-story where we get to see our familiar characters in different roles.
Kalie finally appears in the latex outfit you may have seen in the promotional material.

Steam Deck Verified

I can see from the Steam stats that some of you are playing Gynocracy on Steam Deck. At the end of last year, I did some work to make the portable experience as seamless as possible. And now I'm happy to announce that the game is officially Steam Deck Verified by Valve.

Chapter 5 previews

(warning, mild spoilers ahead) Chapter 5: Starstruck is slowly nearing completion. It should be available sometime in November. The chapter will consist of three main parts: First, our protagonist will meet a movie star - Ava Crowley - a versatile actress who excels in both high-budget action films and indie productions, captivating audiences with her talent and emotional depth. You saw a glimpse of Ava's performance in Chapter 4. But in Chapter 5, you'll get a chance to meet her in person.
Second, Kalie will receive a dinner invitation from Dr. Clare. Clare will introduce our heroes to her fianc and things will take an unexpected turn.
Finally, Barbie will invite herself to the protagonist's house and she will throw a party. A Barbie kind of party...

Hello everyone! It's been almost a week since Gynocracy launched in Early Access and I'm very humbled by the response so far, thank you all very much. I'd like to take this opportunity to clarify some frequently raised issues.

Release of new chapters

Each chapter takes about two months to produce. Chapter 4 was completed in August. Chapter 5 is currently about 50% done, so you should expect it to be available in late October/early November. Please keep in mind that this is a single-dev project and things outside my control can happen, so don't take this as set in stone, but this is the general idea.

Localization

Will the game be translated into [insert your favorite language]? I can't say yet. I would like the game translated into as many languages as possible, but only after it comes out of Early Access. The reason for this is that localization would complicate the release of new chapters at this stage + I want to be able to easily tweak existing chapters as needed.

Game choices, paths

The first three chapters are fairly linear to establish the game world and story. In chapter 4, things start to diverge based on your choices. These divergences revolve around the main couple, the protagonist and his wife. The changes are subtle at first, but the idea is to make them deeper and deeper. From the feedback I've gotten so far, there are a lot of different expectations for how our heroes' relationship should evolve, so I want to let the players decide.

Steam Reviews

If you have played the game, please, please, please consider writing a review steamthumbsup steamthumbsdown. So far, only a tiny fraction of players have left a review. In addition to providing feedback to the developers, reviews affect the visibility of the game on Steam and are therefore extremely important, especially for small indie games like Gynocracy.
