We enter a new era with AUTARKIS and start with the first freely available Alpha Playtest here on Steam and Discord!

[h3] How do you join the Alpha Playtest?[/h3]
It's very simple, join our Discord and fill out the form in the channel "get-your-role-here". After that we will step by step invite you to the playtest. You will receive a Discord notification and an email from us with the key. You can activate this key on Steam and then download the AUTARKIS playtest and start building.

[h3]What is waiting to be tested?[/h3]
In our first playtest, we want to know what your first experience in the game is like and what you think of the new resource system.

When you turn off the game you will be invited to a form where you can give your feedback. We look forward to any feedback!

Right from the start
the UI was a major problem in AUTARKIS.

The game is based on the balancing of resources, so the language of the UI has to be self-explanatory and at the same time informative and minimalistic.

These requirements are not easy to implement, but we tackled them.

The screenshot shows just a small section of how the mission planning should be designed. The implementation will take some time, but the new UI should be integrated before Christmas.

Update 0.2.49 Tutorial

When you first start the game, as well as starting from the main menu, a tutorial is now available to guide you through the first steps and basic mechanics of the game.

We've added vulcanos to have a better visual impact when the world is collapsing.

Added more hover infos to better explain the values in the HUD.

[h2]Bugfixes[/h2]
Jumping between worlds (with Q/E or left/right on Controller) is fixed and should work now properly.

Added full translationt german
All UI-Elements are now translated to german. You can change the language from the main menu.

How to play
We added a graphical explaination about how to play the game.

Keyboard and controller overview
Added an overview about the controls and keys.

New World "fungus".
I've added a new world, the "fungus world". Creepy colors and shapes, this world is different.

Main Menu
Second thing is a main menu, that was missing until now. You can reach that by tapping ESC or Option-Button on the controller.

Language support
I've prepared language support for other languages. I already added a translation for german, but I disabled the "change language"-button. I add the option soon.

Changed intro
The intro was not good enough for you, so I removed it and changed just to the "autarkis" logo that blends in.

What comes next?
I'm working on the translations for other languages, more worlds and the fine tuning of the mechanics.
