Dear ladies and gentlemen, members of the Supreme Collegium!
I have amazing news for you: The Laws of Nadragia will have partial character voiceover! Yes-yes, you heard it right: Each character now has a large set of lines and emotions to accompany his speech. For this, 9 different speakers in Russian and English were involved in order to show the character and mood of the characters as amazingly and authentically as possible. The voice acting has been going on in parallel with the development of the game over the past 8 months and, hopefully, will add even more drama to the court cases!
The demo version update
I have updated the demo version and all the characters in the new demo version are already partially voiced. For those who haven't completed the demo version yet, now is the time to give it a try! Below I attach an example of phrases from a pair of characters: [previewyoutube=iaNlObBrG2k;full][/previewyoutube]
Other changes:
- Added extra character animations;
- Fixed bugs with saving/loading and moving the character;
- Fixed some errors in Russian and English localization;
- The font was changed to a more neat one, additional fonts were added to different parts of the interface (now it looks more diverse);
- Large backdrops were added to the interfaces of the end of the day and the approval of the newspaper;
- Slightly expanded game location (for future interactions with additional characters);
- Added new ingame sounds;
- There are also many more small improvements that I forgot to mention here steammocking

What won't be in the new demo is new court cases. All new court trials will be included in the main game, because the demo already runs for an hour, which is quite a long time (besides, you have to leave something for the main game, right?). So if you've already gone through the demo version and know the plot, you probably shouldn't try it again now. But for those who haven't tried it yet, the updated demo will be a great reason to go through it!

I've updated the demo on Steam. Finally, the plugin that printed the text has been fixed, and the demo version has been updated. If you're interested, please play it, and if you find any bugs, let me know! Although, if you've already played the demo, you don't need to play it again - there are no new cases in it.
Here are the changes:
[olist]
- The "Continue" button is now in the center, and it will remind you to think carefully before clicking on it during the trial.
- There are additional options to choose from in the dialogues now, not just "continue" (although they only appear a few times in the demo). In the main game, this multiple choice option will happen more often.
- When you give the correct answer in court, beautiful stars will fly away with a cool sound.

Ladies and Gentlemen, colleagues, members of the Supreme Collegium of Nadragia! On this fateful day, we are pleased to present to your eyes a demo version of the Laws of Nadragia, a game about Aiden Fair, who was forced to become a prosecutor. Will Aiden be able to survive at his post? What tricks will he use to achieve a quota of guilty verdicts? It is for you to decide! Important information before starting your work:
- According to the best Nadragian analysts, it may take you 1~2 hours to complete the demo version, depending on your playing style.
- In the demo version, you will be able to immerse yourself in the first day of the young prosecutor's work: get to know your colleagues, prisoners, and participate in the first 3 trials.
- The results of your demo playthrough will be saved and at the release of the main game you will be able to continue from where you left off.
- The demo version and the game supports convenient play on the controller and Steam Deck (for which the Nadragian scientists provided a separate build for linux).

Ladies and gentlemen, members of the Supreme Collegium!
We are gathered here today to celebrate this momentous event. Thousands of hours of work by the staff of the development bureau were not in vain: on January 26th, a demo version of the laws of Nadragia will appear before you! Let's say loudly: three cheers!
In the demo version, you can start your journey for a simple bastard - Aiden Fair, who received the non-repudiable honor of becoming a prosecutor in our new state. Aiden will have a hard time on his way: many bandits and enemies of the state will be executed thanks to his work. But we at the supreme collegium believe that he will meet our expectations. Well... Or he'll end up on the gallows himself, ha-ha!
The demo version will be the first working day of the new prosecutor, and its passage will presumably take you from 1 to 2 hours (depending on your style of play).
At the moment, the development bureau is busy sending letters to video-talkers and the press. Let's give a standing ovation to our colleagues and thank them for the hard but useful daily work that has borne fruit!
*applause*

Good day, prosecutor!
We are glad to inform you that the work on the demo is in full swing.
At this moment our best artist is finishing animated images creation. According to our data, there are still 5 animated characters left with several animations each. Our animator is spending a lot of time scrupulously drawing each frame, pixel by pixel.

We are also glad to inform you, prosecutor, that the dialogues and story for the first 3 cases (that will be included in the free demo) were successfully written and translated. The Music, UI and sounds were created and implemented. Game mechanics were tested and polished.
Expect a demo to arrive in the upcoming months. And be careful, prosecutor: the choices you will make in the demo will affect the main game.
