Hi everyone, here is a small update, the changes: corrected some small details (Primus now start with all his MP, tutorial guy dialog are no longer hidden by the fastforward buttons), add Irina performance plugin (it should perform a lot better on low end PC). Hi everyone, after some works, Clarent Saga: Chronicles is now available on Linux! This should make the game fit for Steam deck user! Beware some of the plugins/features didn't make the cut: Window help description mask the second character windows status, battle effect such as dodge motion blur or healing afterglow are removed, sometime animation are displayed after damage and death. I have playtested it (on Ubuntu) and it is perfectly playable with minimum bugs and lag. Still the windows version is the best one so use it if you can. Due to personal reason, Clarent Saga: 8-bit RPG is currently on hold. I have hired someone to make Clarent Saga: Mana (an Action RPG). Hi everyone, here is a small update, the changes: weapon sprite motion are now correctly displayed for actor and bosses, add floating for some bosses, completed some characters profile. Thank you for your support, David Nguyen. ps: tested slightly, demo not updated, bosses who have multiple weapons skills type don't display weapons when attacking (this is not a bug, I tried my best but I didn't manage to integrate it properly).

Hi everyone, here is a small update, the changes: removed the difficulty (not initializing) bug and added a new difficulty, revamped the option menu, Boss MaxHP modifier and open save menu options are now in the option menu instead on the map, add two more options for displaying battlebacks (black border and symetrical fill). Hi everyone, After playing the game again, I came across some design errors. When the game starts, you have to choose your difficulty. When choosing, if you cancel the difficulty is not initialized. All the variables are at 0 and the switches are off. In short, in this mode you don't gain xp or gold, and you don't heal between fights. I don't think you can go very far in the game like that but it's a good easter egg (a hidden difficulty!) so I think I'll leave it. And if a player does it by mistake, it's easy to change the difficulty back later. Second mistake, the battlebacks are not in the right resolution, which compress them. But after playing again a bit, it's not especially noticeable. So I won't update the game soon, Thank you for your support, David Nguyen.

here are some news regarding Clarent Saga.
Clarent Saga Tactics II is only an idea project
but I guess it will remain as such. I am running out of ideas,
energy and ressources. I will keep improving/updating the
first one instead (if I can).
Concerning Clarent Saga: Chronicles,
I wish there is more sale (I sold around a hundred copies)
but it is alright.
I will still participate in the maximum number of
steam sales, the greatest discount was -40% and I will
accelerate the rythm of discount.
The maximum amount of discount will be -70%.
In truth, I don't know if game creator is appropriate
as my role for this game, game conceptor may be more accurate.
Graphics, musics, battle system, script novel were (not done by me and)
only put together by me, and I did only supervise and ensure
the best game I could deliver.
When the game will reach -50% discount, I will make
a clarent saga bundle with the emperor tier dlc
of Clarent Saga Tactics (4.99$) and Clarent Saga Chronicles (9.99$)
at -50%. I will add more games to the bundle. See below.
The big news: I am announcing the next game in the Clarent Saga!
Clarent Saga: 8-bit RPG! I hired someone more skilled than me
with RPG Maker MV, I made the game concept and I will supervise it.
The game should be completed at the end of this month but
I will still need to check everything and playtest.
Finally I have an idea/concept for an action-RPG but game development will
start only after this one is released!

Hi everyone, here is a regular update, the changes: add script up to chapter 20 (out of 22) and a bit of chapter 21, change Trickster weapon type (staff to sword), revert and rebalance some skills, characters recruited late don't get their subclass rings (this make late game harder but it is still easy), you can still get them in the extra zone though, get Clarent sword in chapter 21 (you can only get one). Hi everyone, here is a regular update, the changes: add script up to chapter 19 (out of 22), reworks credits, revert and rebalance some skills. Thank you for your support, David Nguyen. First I would like to say that the script is available up to ch20 but I didn't have time to implement it (sorry!). Bits of ch21 is also done, so the end of early access is near! I am very pleased with the writing of Faenon (the writer), he managed to understand what I wanted to offer with this game. The game isn't selling that well (<100 copies) but that was expected. I think once I am done with this game, I will stop making new games. While it was fun, it was so time and energy consuming and became quite an obsession. But that's not the "end", if I can improve and update my two game available on Steam, don't worry I will. I invested more money than making it for now. Note that this game will slowly cost less and less on sale up to -70% for those who are patient! If you are still undecided, try the demo, it's free! I will be on holiday and take a break from this project. Good holiday and happy christmas/new year to all!
