Hello Snails,
It was a busy summer, the team continues to slowly work on Epic Snails. Our primary goal has been to find more players. We decided to go cross-platform a couple months ago and the mobile version is almost ready. In the next couple weeks we plan to update the Steam version to play with the Mobile version.

Fellow Snails, We know you've been looking forward to the next update to Epic Snails and it's finally here. While you won't see many changes on the surface, you will feel them as you play. We have completely re-written the game from the ground up using a whole new server architecture. We know... you really don't care about how it works 'under the hood', but here's why it matters. This new code improves performance, drastically smooths out movement and firing, and provides for a much more robust and accurate means of squashing hacking attempts. No more invincible snails zipping around at ridiculous speeds. The best is yet to come. Greetings epic fans! Welcome to our first event. The team has been busy working on a number of big updates. First is our new battle map called "SnowForts". This map moves the snails to the ground popping in and out of trenches for the best shot. Second is our "Snowblaster Kit DLC". Ever since 1999 I had wanted to create a multiplayer snowball wargame. Finally 18 years later the Snowblaster has arrived. Epic Snails will remain FREE, our goal is to sell optional kits to pay the team. Thanks for helping us create our little game. New:

- Post match screen will now display which players have left the match
- Added new cosmetic options for face, ear, and shell skin
- Added Face, Ears, and Skin filter options in inventory screen
- New shop UI featuring more buying options
- Added some social media buttons to the settings screen
- Each team will now have a match MVP that will get an extra match end reward
- Added feedback when the game loses connection to the servers (i.e. snails disappearing)
- The lobby has been decorated for the holidays
- Updated SFX for the assault cannon
- Assault Cannon and Missile Launcher will now properly respect accuracy damage effects
- Rebalanced these weapons to account for this change
- Graphical fixes in Backyard
- Increased the chat scroll sensitivity
- All health pickups can now only be picked up if you are hurt
- Improved score syncing between players. Especially for players that join a match late
- Balaclava is now considered a Face item and can be worn with Helmet items
- Fixed the reload spamming glitch
- Fix for some players not being able to move when coming back to the lobby from a match
- Fix for chat getting squished while another UI is open
- Fix for super high jump glitch
- Fix for some snails floating and shaking
- Miscellaneous bug fixes
