Progress report #1 - Anh + Julie route ending.

Harem route ending release. (v. 0.13.0)

Hey guys. Today we are releasing another major update. This is the ending to the Harem route. This update also ends all of the main routes in the game. This update contains:

1365 new images
7 new gallery images
30 new animations

You need to start a new game, as the game had changes done to it since the last update to this route and it is built on a newer version of Ren'py. You can skip through the game faster by using the "Tab" key, instead of "CTRL". It will automatically skip between choices. I do hope you'll enjoy this update. Have an awesome weekend. All the rendering has been finished, the script has been proofread and translation is in progress. Once everything is ready I will announce the release dates for this update.

Progress update #4 - Harem route.

A whole lot has went on in the last two weeks. We had a couple massive windstorm that killed a couple of people and shut the power off to something like 150,000 homes. We got more or less lucky and the worst of it passed just north of us. Right before the storm I had to replace my motherboard. That turned into a whole lot of frustration because I had to do a fresh install of Windows and reset everything. Luckily I have Daz library installed on a separate drive and the drive is dedicated to Daz. I didn't have to reinstall any of the assets. There are some other issues for Daz because of the reinstallation of everything else, but it's nothing too frustrating and mostly affects the scenes that I already rendered. Unless I will need to redo something that is already in the game I should be fine. Mostly. Other than that everything else is moving along nicely. Have an awesome week. Sit tight, smile wide. volle.

Progress update #3 - Harem route.

Hey guys. There are now:

Since I decided to change when the interaction between MC, Bobbie and Carol happens, I have to re-write quite a bit of the script for this chapter. As a result I decided to move up the scene between MC and Yana. It seems early but I think it works out great. And this scene is pretty long. Long enough that it is has been more than a week and I am still creating it. This whole chapter, of the Harem route, is going to be cheesy and light hearted. That's all I've got for you this time, except for the previews:

Demo released for Monkey.

Hey guys. I have released a demo version of the new game I've been working on.
The game is about a man in his 40s. He is given a chance to "restart" his life when a young woman enters his, more or less, reclusive world. The game is different from One Lie. It will be more of a thriller rather than just a relaxing love story. The demo is a slightly cut down version of the Prologue chapter of the game. There are a few scenes missing, it has no music, no custom main menu or any other bells or whistles. I made the demo just to see if there would be an interest in the story. If there is enough interest I will continue working on it. It costs a lot of money and time to create even something as simple as an AVN. One Lie has bankrupted me so I am not willing, nor can I afford, to start a new game if there is no interest in it. Anh solo route update.

Hey guys. Finally an update. I am sorry it has taken me this long to create this update. As previously stated this update adds content ONLY to Anh's solo route. It ends this route. The update contains:

794 new images
32 new animations
4 new gallery images

The sad news is that You need to restart the game. I have no idea what went wrong (I am not a programmer), but the old saves do not work. I know it's very frustrating and I am very sorry about this. You can skip through the game faster if you use the "Tab" key, instead of "CTRL" key. You do not have to hold the key. Press it once and it will skip, very quickly, to the next choice. Do it through all the choices until you reach where you want to be. Also, do not forget to enable the "Skip - Unseen text" in the options, if you didn't know about that one already. Progress update #5

Hey guys. I am a couple of days late with the update. Apologies. I'll explain in a bit. I am done with all the images, animations and the script for this update. This update will contain

Yup. The update is almost finished. We are just doing the translation and then it will onto coding, then testing. And that is why I am a bit late with this progress update. I was hoping that I could figure out at least an approximate release date. But. at this point, I am still unsure. Won't be long though. This update is the ending for Anh's solo route. And adds content only to this route. Now, the not so pleasant news about this update. You will have to restart the game. Due to some technical issues the saves prior to this update will not work. I am not a programmer so I am not sure what exactly is the cause for this. I do know that Ren'py has released a new version of their software where some changes were made and those changes cause some issues. For example, the effects that One Lie has in the main menu no longer work and have to be redone. So, I am guessing that there are other changes that had a negative impact on the code of our game, resulting in older saves not working. Before I proceed further here are some previews for you:

I have already started work on the next update. Which will be for the Harem route. This update will have to be the largest. I mean, IT IS the harem route after all. There isn't a whole lot I can say about it right now. Mostly, I am writing the script right now. But I have done some test renders as I am setting up the scenes for it. And that's all I got to say about the next update. I also have news regarding the next game I am working on "Monkey." We have built a demo for it. The demo is very very basic. It contains an almost complete Prologue of the game. I removed a few scenes from it that I do not think are very important to giving you an idea as to what the game is about and all of that. The demo also contains no music, sounds or custom main menu. I already released the demo to our Patrons, for testing. And I will release it publicly on October 16th. Now that I finished working on the Prologue for the new game work on One Lie is starting to pick up the pace. I am coming close to finishing this update, but there are still some difficult scenes to do. I wish I could give you an ETA for this update, but I'd rather not. I've done that before and things happened. This update is taking longer than I expected for that exact reason, to begin with. However, it won't be long now. Here are some previews for you:

Progress update #2 (Anh solo route)

Hey guys. I am sorry I have been quiet for so long. I have had some personal issues to deal with. But I did not stop working on the game. Just slowed down a bit. As of now there are:

My personal issues have been sorted out enough that I can go back to working full-time on the game. Progress update #1 (Anh solo route update)

Hey guys. The next update to the game will be for the "Anh solo" route. It will be the ending for this route. So far I have made:

150 images
5 animations

for the next update. The script is not fully finished, yet. I am, still, adding and changing things in the draft. Originally I was going to make the next update a combination of "Anh solo" and "Anh + FC" routes. But I had to split the routes. While the two routes do have a lot in common there are enough differences that make splitting them into two separate updates a more logical choice. Here are some previews of what I have already rendered (Warning. Some images are 18+.):

I have no timeline as to when I will have the update ready. I am working on it in full force. I have also made changes to my roadmap. The plan was to make the update order the same as the previous updates, but I changed the order. After this update I will work on the ending to the harem route. It is the most popular route, it seems. The other two routes "Anh and FC" and the "FC and Alex" are not so popular, so I am going to do them last. That's about it, for now. I am also trying to figure out how to setup a system on our Discord server so that those who own the game on Steam can have access to exclusive content channels. Progress update #1

Hey, guys. I started working on the next update for the game. I had the script for it written some time ago, but due to player feedback and my own, fresh ideas, I had to rewrite it almost entirely. This update will have quite a few time skips, as everyone settles down and moves on with their lives. It will be a lengthy update. Synopsis:

One Lie is an adult visual story-based novel about a young man, his best friend, people he encounters along the way, his past and his future. A

You and Julie (you will have a choice to change their names) have been best friends since a young age. You are best friends and have been through a lot together. Julie is the only person in this world whom you trust implicitly. And to you, loyalty and trust are the most important parts of life. The two of you are getting ready to enter college.
However, Julie makes a mistake. In the heat of the moment, she lies to your girlfriend about the closeness of your friendship. It breaks your heart and your trust in her. You feel betrayed. Not only is she the closest person to you she lies about you, thus using you to hurt someone. You decide that it would be best to go to another college and do so on your own, away from Julie.

Did you overreact? You don't feel that way. You have been betrayed and used in the past, by those closest to you. Your parents. You cannot allow that in your life. So you leave.

Julie realizes what she has done and most importantly that she is in love with you. She chases after you. She is willing to do whatever it takes to, at least, be forgiven by you. And to tell you what she feels for you.

Will you forgive her? Do you have feelings for her?
That is up to you to decide. But along the way you will encounter another young lady. How will that encounter affect your choice going forward?

Gameplay

This is a choice-based game. Whom you choose to date will affect not only you but also what happens to other characters. As of Chapter 4, your choices will split the game into separate stories.

The main characters.

The MC (you) - Just your average young man. With a secret about his past that not even his best friend is privy to. He has suffered but is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Julie. (player will be able to change her name)

Your best friend. You have been friends since a very young age. Always there for each other through thick and thin, Through sad times and a lot of laughs.
She is a troublemaker but until now she has never betrayed your trust.

Anh.

She is shy and is a very intelligent young woman. She has very controlling but loving parents and is trying to break away from their control. They allow her to be her own person but are still having a hard time letting go of their control. For fear of losing her.
From the moment she saw you, she sensed that there was something wrong. She wants to help you. But may have accidentally fallen in love with you. She can become the love of your life or a close friend.

Alex

An orphan with a huge heart. She develops a crush on Julie but is willing to ignore her feelings in order to help her new friend seek forgiveness from MC. Her dream is not only to have children of her own but to work with children. To achieve one of these dreams she is studying child psychology and early childhood education.

Yana

We have yet to learn much about this young lady. What we do know is that she works hard at her part-time job and is the sole caretaker for her disabled father. She would like to attend college but she has little time between her work and taking care of her father.

Carol

Julie's aunt. She is a former police officer who was forced to quit her job to take care of Julie when her parents perished in a motor vehicle accident. She has also grown close to MC, who spent a lot of time at their home in order to hide from his abusive father.

Bobbie

She is a bar owner and Carol's lover/Girlfriend (they haven't yet figured out where they stand. She is a no-nonsense, funny woman. She is also close to both MC and Julie.
