In the latest patch 1.2 (available for base game and DLC), the lone typo has been fixed. Also, the game has been updated to use the latest version of Ren'Py. Thank you for all of your ongoing support! :D

v1.1 bugfix

Hi there! the head well lost has been updated to version 1.1, which fixes several instances where unique character names weren't working (mostly in text messages). You should be able to see your specified name everywhere in the game instead of "Francis" if you choose one. Please let me know if that is not the case!

Thanks for all your support and interest! HWL is now out and available to purchase and play. There are 9 endings to unlock, as well as 6 special cat scenes and 13 achievements. Please enjoy your in-game year with Francis (you can change this name in the settings menu) and Rai!

Story:

When Francis matched with Rai on a dating app, the fact that he's half of the electronic pop duo DRYDEN should have been the most shocking part. the head well lost is a commercial otome game with one character route that takes place over the course of about a year. Francis and Rai start dating fairly early on in the game. Thus, the maintenance of the relationship is the main point, not the pursuit.

Due to the nature of Rai's job, he and Francis are not always together. This is especially true for about the first half of the game. As a result, a good chunk of the story occurs through text messages and phone calls.

Content warnings: There are a handful of fade-to-black, text-only references to consensual sex. There are also textual depictions of legal alcohol consumption and some violence.
