I just got the email this afternoon, Valve has finished testing Collect Call's compatibility for the Steam Deck! From the beginning, Collect Call was intended for the Deck, so I'm glad it's finally verified. They did leave a note though, it seems the game does not automatically switch to a different controller once you start playing. I plan on releasing a small patch later this week to fix it.
Fixed a ton of stuff, including a few crashes. Please report any issues to the Discord server.
Lots of small bugs have been reported to me in the month since release, I've fixed lots of them here.
- Fixed a bug where a save file made on the last level will never finish loading.
- Improvements to joystick use in menus
- Simplified UI code

Features
Gameplay
Puzzles gradually introduce new mechanics so you learn at a comfortable pace with intuitive elements, including levers, buttons, physics objects, bridges, and more.
The game also includes a story told through dialogue with other characters and lore hints hidden in the levels. Your dialogue choices do matter.
Steam Deck
Works fine on my Steam Deck. The game runs natively on Linux and Windows, controllers are detected automatically, and it will use 800p by default. My Steam Deck gets about two-thousand fps with vsync and the frame-rate limit turned off.
Graphics & Performance
The game may use pixel art, but there are still graphical options to configure. The game supports most common resolutions all the way up to 8K. You can also toggle v-sync or set a frame rate limit.
Modding & Steam Workshop
Collect Call can play custom levels from the Steam Workshop. Custom levels can include custom dialogue, puzzle elements, graphics, and more. Levels can even be chained in a sequence for a custom campaign just like the included one. Custom levels can also be installed manually.
You will need map editing software to make your own levels. I used Tiled and suggest you do the same, it is free and open-source. You should also format your levels similar to the included ones for compatibility.
