Good things happen all the time - therefore I am currently busy with other things and this pet project will go into hiatus for an unknown time.

I simply can't reliably release for macOS under the current terms and conditions. There is currently some bug either in macOS or Godot that prevents running this game. Additionally I would be breaking Apples Terms and Conditions if I don't pay Money to Apple. Therefore macOS releases will be discontinued so that I can realize this game.
I spend the better part of my evening reworking this. Enjoy the doors and some code optimization. Next up: Graphical improvements for the Demo and more sound improvements.
The default font I used got boring, therefore I searched for a new font and I found fibberish. A nice pixelart Font I like.
Added features:
- Improved jump and walking
- Game doesn't require Steam to be online anymore.
- Steamdeck Support (and general better controller support added)
- a death animation for the chef
- instand glyph updates when switching form controller to keyboard or other way around
- Level in Transition screen
- Chef not able to finish first and last level because it couldn't jump high enough
- Fixed wrongly formatted text - should look better now
- You can't open the menu in the level end-screen anymore
Now the big chunk of an update is here. Took two month but here we are. Added controller support ( all three types hopefully correctly ) can't change the mapping for now but that will be something for the future. Also paralax background in two of three levels. Enjoy and keep jumping.
A small intermediate release for the Demo. Expect more to come until July - then it's Steam Fest time!

It took a while to get to get all of this going. Now there is a steam integration in the game, which means that there will be achievements soon!! Ah yes and a better key remap UI :)
The Demo was released today. In several small increments I got it to where it needs to be for this page. The next big update will bring controller support and button customization to the demo. As well as Steam Integration with Archievements. Enjoy.

Chef's Adventure is a 2D side-scrolling jump and run game about a small Chef on the "hunt" for the chicken-eggs.
You will meet various enemies and challenges on this journey through 10 glorious levels, each with it's own charm and character.
Jump on enemies, collect feathers, find chickens and learn new skills to apply them in all the levels to really find every secret hidden within this game.
