Howdy Pilots!!!! We are ready now to drop the rest of our features for the challenge update along with some minor changes and bug fixes. Miniboss Events!
- Three new events have been added featuring minibosses for the first 3 stages, each with unique mechanics to help spice things up! You can now encounter the Devourer, Hexapod and BR4WL3R in your normal runs.
- During your run a new kind of pickup box will now appear that will grant the player a powerful temporary weapon, which also acts as a shield if you take damage before the timer ends. The rapid-fire Disintergrater, High-powered Thermal Eraser and deadly Quantum Splitter should also hopefully assist newer players through the early stages of the game.
- We have added a handful of new skins to the game, a couple for the phantom and a Halloween skin for the vortex. We have also added a new skin for the M0LE to celebrate the first player to reach over 1,000,000,000 score!!!
- A new Ancient Technology, 'Leviathan' , has been added which makes bosses more powerful in return for a big score increase.
Minor Changes:
- Fixed Alien Matriarch achievement.
- Adjusted EXP scaling in long runs
- Fixed Alien EXP tsunami bug at stage 20+
- A few other minor bug fixes
As always, If you come across any bugs please report them in the community and a patch will be made as quickly as possible. Feel free to give us any feedback as well, we take everything from our community into consideration. We are so close now to reaching our 10-review goal! Thank you to everyone who has left us feedback and if you have anything at all to say about the game please consider leaving us a review, it is the best way to help us out!!! They don't have to be good reviews but we are dedicated to fixing any issue that you may have if you post in the community about it. Godspeed Pilots!
Greetings Pilots!!!! It is finally time again to launch a new update for the game which adds new ships, upgrades and a new level. This update has proven to be massively ambitious for us and alongside us beginning development of a brand new project has needed to be broken down into two parts, one releasing now and the next in a month hopefully. Even broken down this update is already as big as the last one with more game-changing content coming soon, here is what we have for you: A Brand New Ship: Vortex
- Our new ship, the Vortex makes its debut in this update. This ship is all about speed and precision, with the lowest damage but making use of a very unique skill that allows it to parry enemy damage and turn it into projectiles which scale in damage based on the ship's speed.
- We have decided to make a new kind of upgrade card called mythic upgrades. These will appear in the level 5 upgrade rolls as red cards with a very low chance and will offer a very powerful advantage to your run, but you are limited to 1 copy of each. The first example of this is the new Wishing Star upgrade which is a very welcome addition to the increasing late-game challenge. It is a base upgrade that will be available to all players as soon as the game updates.
- The bosses of Warps 1-3 have most likely become a familiar face by now but to keep things spicy they all now have a counterpart that has a split chance to appear once you have beaten the main boss for the first time. They use the same framework and should feel familiar mechanically while bringing new twists to attacks, helping to create some variety in runs as well as keep players on their toes both new and old.
Also, they will be arriving in style as we have now implemented a new epic boss introduction that displays the boss's name in a cool and cinematic way.
- With this update comes a brand new stage 4 map: The Digiscape. This level is heavily inspired by some of our favourite media and comes with a very unique aesthetic compared to the rest of the game. Reach the end of this simulated gauntlet and you will battle with the rogue firewall, is far more than meets the eye...
- Four new Upgrade cards come in the update to unlock and help you progress, some inspired by the community ideas!
- An updated engine means some of the shaders and lighting have been improved.
- Experience scaling has been toned down at level 100+ to help balance the late game.
- Lightspeed's effect increased.
- Adjusted the requirement for the Hear you Scream Achievement to make up for the boss variants being added, anyone that has already achieved it won't see any changes, but new players will have to defeat the new boss variant instead of defeating the alien overlord twice.
- Significantly increased the max display size of the lock-on card.
- Significantly increased the max size of Optimization Optics.
- Missile Launcher can now aim at targets outside the player's range when no target is locked on.
- Fixed the Infected Wurm crash after level transition (hopefully) - Fixed an oversight with some elements not giving score when destroyed If anyone finds a bug or notice something wrong, please feel free to notify us on the community posts! it helps a lot.
- The infected Wurm has it's own soundtrack now, i hope everyone likes it - Fixed controller inputs showing up even when using keyboard+mouse - Added new effects and Animations for the new IGPD event
Greetings Pilots!!!! The time has finally come and the customisation update is now in your hands so without further ado lets get into the new things available: A Brand New Ship: Sentry
- Firstly, we Introduce our first new ship to the game: Sentry! Sentry works slightly differently to our other ships as it cannot shoot for itself, instead, it has a melee and ranged drone to fight for it. This ship can boost the power of ALL companions for a short time with its ability as well, so it leans into a playstyle that focuses on having an army of drones to destroy enemies for you.
- The 'Paint-O-Matic' can now be accessed through the button on the top left of the upgrade tab and will allow you to purchase and see unlock requirements for the new skins we have added. Some ships have more skins than others, we did this purely based on what we saw most players were using. However, we plan to regularly add new skins as we update and patch the game in the future. If you have any good ideas for skins we would love to hear them and get the community involved!
- The final but largest part of the update is our new level; Quarantine Zone Upsilon. This level will always appear as the 4th warp of the run and offers a brand new challenge as you will face off against hordes of infected units and a brand new infected boss.
- We also have a few new upgrades for you to unlock and play around with in future runs!
- Each Stage now will have a unique ambient light.
- Enemies now spawn from a shuffled deck rather than completely random.
- Reduced the HP scaling during the Alien Overlords enrage for later runs.
- Alien Overlords laser attacks now have a proper warning.
- Reduced the HP of the Flying Spacemans during the first phase.
- Slightly reduced the HP for the Flying Spacemans damage check.
- Scurvy Dogs(Flyin Spacemans Minions) Warning sign changed.
- Fixed some grammar mistakes on certain card descriptions. (Feel free to call us out if you find more)
- Fixed Jeremy not being able to shoot after 10+ Upgrades.
- Changed how UI items on the main menu are selected to improve clarity and options.
- Rotating the ship preview when using a controller is now done by holding the Skill input plus a
- direction.
- Adjusted the plunder cost for upgrading spaceships, it should feel easier to get spaceships fully upgraded.
- Adjusted the values of some blue cards, blue upgrades should be able to stack up even more.
- The Loot Magnet card is now part of the base pool of upgrade cards.
- Added a saving icon on the top right of the screen.
- Reduced the size of the Broken Android to ease up visibility.
- Added a shooting sound effect for the Broken Android companion.
- Fixed Knockback being applied to certain enemies/hit points that are supposed to be immune.
Greetings Pilots! The time has finally come for the first major update for Interstellar Plunderer, THE CUSTOMIZATION UPDATE! We have been working on many new things to help spice up the game, here is just a final tease of what is to come on June 27th. A Brand New Ship
- I won't give too much away about the new ship coming to the game but it is a ship that should be obtainable just through playing normally like the M0LE and offer something completely different from the other ships available.
- A thing many people wanted was ways to make the game more replayable and, for some players, even offer a higher difficulty. This is where the Ancient Technology system comes into play, It offers customization to your runs by selecting mixtapes which have unique effects and score multipliers. It even offers an assistance drone to help players struggling with the difficulty of the early stages.
- A feature that we have really enjoyed adding is the addition of ship skins which can be unlocked with achievements and brought with excess plunder(which will be much more abundant with this update). We are excited to see what kind of skin ideas you have for us in the future, as we will be taking community ideas and turning them into new looks.
- Initially we hadn't planned to add more stages to the game till a later update but after hearing player feedback we have worked our butts off to bring you something new. Now once you enter Warp 4, you are sent to Quarantine Zone Upsilon, A new level on the surface of a ruined planet. Not to give too much away, but be ready for a fight on the 27th.
- As usual we are topping this off with a few bug fixes and new upgrade cards to unlock which will be detailed more when the update drops in 3 days.
Greetings Pilots,
We are deep underway on our next major update which is going to be bringing new ship skins, run customization, upgrades, enemies and something secret we have been working on.
In the meantime, while my partner slaves away at the code I've been feeling very inspired by old SNES box arts and the style of them. I was experimenting and have created a version of the main store capsule with those retro vibes:
I'm considering changing it to the new store capsule but would love to know what you guys think first. Is it an improvement, or a downgrade?
In other news, the Plunderer seems to have taken a turn through the wrong wormhole...
We'll have to get back to you on that one...
Thank you all for your patience with us in getting this big update out. It should hopefully bring a lot to the table that people have been asking for in terms of variety and we really can't wait to let you play!
Greetings Pilots! It's been one month since Interstellar Plunderer's release, and it's finally time for the Google Play version of the game to follow the PC version out the door. The mobile version should be available to download right now from the Google Play Store!!! Google Play Release
- The same game but mobile, Interstellar Plunderer, can now be played on Android devices. We have also rolled out this new version with some cards both mobile and PC gamers alike can enjoy...
- Broken Android is the newest companion to accompany you on your deep space flights. He may look beat up, but he will surely give your enemies a shock... At least when his broken gyroscope points him in the right direction.
New Card: Advanced Robotics
- Advanced Robotics is a new addition to help builds that focus on stacking companion cards, namely Sting Drone, Jeremy, and Broken Android.
A few minor bugs have also been fixed to help create a smoother experience. Coming Soon(ish) As demonstrated with our roadmap, we are dedicated to a year of new content for you all to digest, so stay tuned. Currently, we are hard at work on the 'customization' update, which has something extra not on the roadmap that we are excited to show off. For now, though, here is a little teaser of what is to come:
Greetings Pilots! We hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Here are a few adjustments based on some recent common feedback, and we even threw in a new card to sweeten the deal. New Card: Rage Protocol
- The Rage Protocol card is specifically designed for all you hardcore barbarians. When all your shields are down, this upgrade will significantly boost your damage and attack speed, offering a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.
- Ship prices and upgrade costs have now been reduced to improve accessibility for newer players. M0le: 300 > 150 Gazer: 800 > 500 Phantom: 500 > 300 Interstellar : 3000 > 2000
- The visual effect from the Projectile Interceptor upgrade is now much larger and more visible when activated.
- Reduced the health of the 'Stalker' miniboss event.
- The issue causing perpetual attack speed increases with the new Haste Drive card has been fixed.
- When you complete an achievement and unlock an upgrade card, the unlocked card will now retroactively appear in your current run instead of needing to reset.
Greetings Pilots!!! Interstellar Plunderer has officially been out for a week, and we would like to say thankyou to everyone who has played our game; it means the world to us. With the May 2nd update/ Android launch in the works, we pushed forward a nice little quality-of-life update that gives the game a couple of visual improvements and a new upgrade card to unlock! The Hanger
- The first thing you will notice upon launching the game is a nice shiny new place to hang your ships between runs. We thought this would provide a nice change from the generic space background and give you all something more satisfying to look at.
- A new addition to the main menu is that you will now be able to view ships that are locked through achievements, with their silhouettes appearing alongside their unlock requirements, progress and achievement name.
- The green targeting reticle will now expand and shrink based on your ship's targeting upgrade level. This should give you a more precise indicator of how much area you cover at any given time.
- Completing the Need for Speed achievement unlocks a new upgrade card, Haste Drive, which will be available for future runs. This card is a must-have for any attack speed freaks, so keep an eye out.
- Acting on player feedback, a few missing sound effects have been added to the game.
- Fixed EMP detonating immediately on later stages. - Fixed the "Alien Overlord" lazy eye bug. - Re-balanced the "Lockdown" Upgrade card. - Increased the "Alien Overlord" Health scaling on later stages. - Fixed the Level Display box not stretching on three digit numbers.
Interstellar Plunderer launched this morning, but this is far from the end of development. Throughout the year, we plan to release multiple substantial updates as well as some minor ones that will add new content to the game, such as ships, upgrades, and even more features, as detailed below.
