Demo release!
The Demo is a modified version of the first chapter of the full game, with more content and more challenges than usual. The pacing was increased to give you a better view on what can you expect from the full game, but in a limited time. If you find it too hard, don't worry, the full game lets you learn the skills and tricks in a more relaxed manner.
This release also brings you the v0.10.0 version (the first one published on Steam), which added:
The following releases will incrementally add a lot of new content, like more enemy types and new bosses. There will be also difficulty options, achievements, extra game modes, and more. You can check out the store page for a detailed roadmap. I am planning to release v1.0.0 in 2024, but being a solo dev doesn't guarantee I will have enough time to finish all of my ideas, while I can promise to try my best.
You can send bug reports and general feedback via the Community Forum, or via this Google Form. If you submit a feedback via the Google Form and provide your email address, you will receive an unlock code for a unique in-game cosmetic! Cheers,

Welcome to the first announcement for CrabbleUp!
You will be able to find CrabbleUp on the upcoming Endless Replayability Fest (starting on 13th May), and the Steam Next Fest (starting on 10th June). If you can't wait till then, you can try out the Demo version today!

- New enemies (some of them are part of the demo).
- Color variations, and better shadows for all enemies.
- Hardware-accelerated drawing using OpenGL.
- Translation and font fixes.
- Lots of crash fixes, and stability improvements.

CrabbleUp is a laid-back, retro-inspired roguelite.
You are a small hermit crab, and you embark on a journey to explore the depth of the seas. Level-up to strengthen your existing abilities, and learn new ones! The skill tree is hidden, the levels are procedurally generated, each playthrough is unique, and enemies hit hard! Can you beat all the bosses, and live to tell the tale?
The view is isometric 2.5D using hand-drawn graphics. You navigate a maze in tiled levels with a lot of details, designed for fullscreen mode. Although you can also switch to smaller resolutions if you want a windowed experience. Multi-monitor setups are also supported.
There are multiple camera modes to fit your preference, each keeping all players in the screen at any time.
You can play solo, or together with someone else. Solo sessions are independent from co-op playthroughs, so you don't have to worry about starting a new session just yourself when your partner isn't available.
You can use a keyboard, or a game controllers to navigate the menus and play the game. The only place where a keyboard is required is when creating Profiles with custom names. There's a default name if you want to skip the typing.
Your shell can be customized from many options, and there will be more to come in following updates.
