Backpack Battles (tuxdb.com)

Hi everyone,

This week, we announced that Backpack Battles is going into Early Access on March 8th, 2024! Which is in less than 50 days! And we received a ton of very nice messages from you! In case you missed it, check out the announcement post! The 0.7.5 update adds a new shield that you can craft, the Moon Shield. It interacts with Mana and Block-generating items and can shield from melee and ranged attacks.

We also improved the combat log: After battle, you can now hover over entries in the log and then hover items to see their stats at that moment. Also, the health your items healed is now tracked in the Heal meter (switch to it using the dropdown menu in the damage meter). There are balancing changes as always, check them out below or in the in-game patch notes.

NEW RECIPE: Moon Shield
Damage Meter can now be switched to Heal!
Combat log now tracks damage, accuracy, critrate etc throughout the whole battle history! (There are still things missing, more work on that will come in the future.)

Balance:

Spectral Dagger is now crafted with Mana Potion
Belladonnas Whisper: Damage needed per Poison 7 -> 8 (also slightly reworded)
Staff of Unhealing: No longer gets +4 heal when Mana used
Strong Poison Flask: Poison delay 5s -> 6s
Platinum Customer Card: Unique Chance 6% -> 8%
Ruby Chonk: Damage +2
Fancy Fencing Rapier: Cooldown 1.8s -> 1.7s
Poison Dagger: Damage +1
Pandamonium: Damage +1
Eggscalibur: Damage +1
Tusk Piercer: Damage +1
Crossblades: Damage +1

Fixes:

Fixed Hungry Blade/Bloodthorne not logging the used Regeneration
Darksaber now plays an attack animation
Piggybank no longer logs +0 maximum health gained

Other:

Cap of Discomfort now is a Dark item
Dropdown lists now highlight the hovered entry

In Backpack Battles, you fight with your backpack full of items. It matters what you buy, and especially how you place it! The smarter you place your items, the stronger you will be!

Items come in different shapes, sizes, prices, and rarities. Combine them into even stronger equipment.
Brew a powerful potion, craft a legendary weapon, or hatch a dragon friend!

You play against real builds of other players. See what they came up with, and counter them.
See how good you are in Ranked mode! Or have a relaxing time in Casual mode.
In both cases, take your time, as there are no timers at all!

Choose a class depending on your play style. Do you want heavy crits or poison damage over time?
