Thank you all for playing my first game! I have so much love for the story of REMINGTON and its various characters, even in its most primitive and simple form. This game is far from perfect, but it's nonetheless a fun and lovable experience with good substance attached.
Important:
There is a visual bug on some monitors (not all, some people don't have this problem) that will cause the game to stretch horizontally. This makes the text strain your eyes when you read for more than one minute. IF you feel like 'wow, it's so hard to focus and read the text' after a while, it means your device has this bug. It is fixable in various ways. I added instructions right in the tutorial about how to fix this problem. If you launch the game and re-play it from the start, you'll get a choice to fix the issue. These are the changes in the first ever update: 1. Totally changed how the OCTAGON reacted to REMINGTON's encounter with Frank. This adds more depth and detail to the character of Bartolomeo. 2. Added more personal reactions to REMINGTON. When he talks to other people, he now has more inner dialogue about his personal opinion of them and what is happening to him. Most of these updated reactions starts from his time in the club. 3. Added a couple more small but crucial details to the character of Cyrus Compton. This happens during your conversation with the club DJ. Feel free to re-read the story if you've already read it before! Each time I read this story, it feels just like the first time. Due to Steam's playtime report being somewhat imperfect, players who "skipped text" the entire game (meaning they didn't play the game at all) just to get the achievements washed out the playtime of actual readers. The average playtime report started around 30 minutes, and now became 1 minute due to the playtime being reported as an "average" of everyone's playtime. The players who "skipped text" completely washed out the playtime of every legit reader. So I cannot tell if anybody read Episode 1. If nobody read Episode 1, there's no point in me making Episode 2. This game was originally planned to release on all platforms: Mac, Linux and Windows. Due to many reasons, the Windows version will be released first. What to Expect?
- AVAILABLE ON ALL PLATFORMS: Mac, Mac (Silicon Valley Chip), Windows, Linux
- There are a total of 6 episodes
- Each episode has a different setting. For example, one episode is set in a party, the next episode is set in a military compound
- Each episode contains many new characters. The main characters will appear in every episode, but each episode will have somewhere between 2 to 6, or 8 new side characters who are just there for the one episode. This is to keep the story feeling fresh and something new always coming-in
- Very few, if at all any deaths. This is NOT a game where everyone dies. The story is focused on competition and growing as a person, rather than death and grief
- The first episode will be released FAR BEFORE the other episodes. This means there will be a time gap between the first episode's release and the other episodes. The purpose of this is to gather feedback and see if any changes need to be made to the future episodes, as well as dealing with any code bugs and other coding issues.
