Obviously, the subtitle is a joke. We don't need a Global Naming System (yet) to distinguish between humans, humanoids and everything in-between (cyborgs and genetically modified humans). See this video for the new socializer humanoid named Aria: https://www.youtube.com/watch? [previewyoutube=HCmDK5kqchU;full]v=HCmDK5kqchU[/previewyoutube] I had no idea that the plot of Remington, the A.I. would accidentally become reality, especially so soon. When I came up with the idea of humanoids in Year 3000 being indistinguishable from humans, even I thought it was an unrealistic idea that would probably never happen. So hyper-realistic humanoids is the first thing this game accidentally predicted. If Aria is the first humanoid model, we can only imagine how realistic humanoids will look in five to ten years. I think Aria already looks extremely realistic for a non-human being. Then there's the aspect of the socializers. Socializers aren't made to do labor or any office-style work. Their only job is to look human and act human. That's exactly what Aria is. It's almost like Aria's creators played the Remington game and agreed that socializers are a great idea, though I'm sure they came up with the idea themselves. What an exciting time to be alive. Maybe we'll get to see the world of Millennium Gates (this game series' name is Millenium Gates) in our lifetime. That would be awesome. CM Pictures
Great news for all my wishlisters who are on Mac and Linux. The game is finally out for your platforms. Thank you all for patiently waiting. Mac users may have to download a free program called Rosetta 2 in order to run this game. Have fun and enjoy, CM Pictures For Linux Users: The game has never been tested on a Linux. If you get an error, please screenshot or videocapture it and send it to cmentertainmenttech@gmail.com. If there is a gamebreaking bug that makes it unplayable for you and we can't solve it within 7 days, feel free to get a refund while we continue to try and fix the problem. Steam allows for re-purchasing a game that you've refunded before, if you still want to play it when it's fixed.
Thank you all for playing my first game! I have so much love for the story of REMINGTON and its various characters, even in its most primitive and simple form. This game is far from perfect, but it's nonetheless a fun and lovable experience with good substance attached.
Due to Steam's playtime report being somewhat imperfect, players who "skipped text" the entire game (meaning they didn't play the game at all) just to get the achievements washed out the playtime of actual readers. The average playtime report started around 30 minutes, and now became 1 minute due to the playtime being reported as an "average" of everyone's playtime. The players who "skipped text" completely washed out the playtime of every legit reader. So I cannot tell if anybody read Episode 1. If nobody read Episode 1, there's no point in me making Episode 2. If you would like to read Episode 2, please leave a like on this post. Thank you to everyone who gave this game a chance and bought it.
How was Episode 1 for you? Did you get confused or bored at any point? Was there anything in particular that you liked? What elements would you like to see again in Episode 2, and what elements would you change for Episode 2? Send your feedback to cmentertainmenttech@gmail.com
Windows Version of Episode 1 is out! While the game is a simple visual novel game and shouldn't have any bugs, if you encounter any bugs, make sure to screenshot or video capture it and send it to cmentertainmenttech@gmail.com If for any reason we cannot resolve a game-breaking bug that makes it unplayable for you within 7 days of your purchase, feel free to get a refund from Steam while we continue to try solving the problem. You can re-purchase it if you still feel like playing when the game is fixed (re-purchasing a refunded game is possible according to Steam). Have fun and enjoy! -- CM Pictures
This game was originally planned to release on all platforms: Mac, Linux and Windows. Due to many reasons, the Windows version will be released first. Mac and Linux versions may have a delayed release, or not-released at all. If you're on Mac or Linux and would like to play the game, you can keep this game in your Wishlist and Follow list. If a Mac or Linux version is released, an announcement will be made (if you follow the game, a notification will be sent to your Steam inbox).
