Our Diggers have gotten a new and improved look, now offering three levels of visual upgrades. Each level emphasizes armor and power, ranging from a neat blue to a formidable red. Dear Ocean Keepers,
We've been closely monitoring your feedback and working hard to improve the game based on your invaluable insights. We understand the importance of creating a balanced and enjoyable experience, and we're thrilled to announce a significant rebalance update. Heres what you can expect in this latest update:
Wave Rebalance
Reduced Early Wave Difficulty: We heard you loud and clear. The initial waves were a bit too challenging for many players, so we've toned them down. This adjustment is aimed at making the start of your journey smoother and more enjoyable, allowing new players to get acclimated to the game mechanics without feeling overwhelmed. Eliminated Randomness: In the past, players experienced extreme fluctuations in enemy strength within the same wave, leading to unpredictable difficulty spikes. We've addressed this by smoothing out the difficulty, ensuring a more consistent and fair challenge across all waves. Now, each wave will have a more predictable and manageable progression. Increased Wave Dynamics: To keep the gameplay engaging and dynamic, we've shortened the spawn intervals of mobs within waves. This means you'll face more consistent action, maintaining the intensity and excitement throughout your play sessions. Adjusted Scaling to Wave 30: We've reworked the scaling of wave difficulty up to wave 30. The early game is now less punishing, giving you a better chance to build your strength. However, the final waves have been made a bit tougher and more intense, offering a satisfying climax to your adventure. You'll need to strategize and utilize your upgrades effectively to conquer these challenging final waves. Balanced Worm Boss: The Worm Boss was previously a point of frustration for many players. We've balanced its damage output, ensuring that both its ranged attacks and jumping attacks are fair and challenging. This change applies to all waves where the Worm Boss appears, making for a more balanced and enjoyable boss fight.
Hub Store Improvements
Revised Prices: We've taken a close look at the prices of upgrades and made adjustments to better reflect their utility. This means that upgrades will now be priced more intuitively, offering better value for their impact on gameplay. Early Access to Upgrades: One of the issues we identified was that players were not able to access upgrades quickly enough. To address this, players will now have access to several upgrades after their first run. This change ensures that you can start customizing and improving your mech early on, enhancing your overall experience. Reduced Grind: To keep the game exciting and rewarding, we've significantly reduced the grind for upgrades. Now, after almost every run, you'll have the opportunity to unlock a new upgrade. This change aims to maintain a steady progression and keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
Ongoing Balancing Efforts:
The balance changes introduced in this update are a hotfix addressing major issues. However, we consider this a work in progress. We will continue to fine-tune the game based on your feedback and further testing. Expect more comprehensive balancing changes in future updates, as we strive to create the best possible experience for you. Your feedback has been instrumental in shaping these updates, and were committed to continuously improving the game. We appreciate your patience and support as we work through these changes. Please keep sharing your thoughts and suggestions they truly make a difference. We want to extend a special thank you to all our beta testers who have tirelessly reported bugs and provided invaluable feedback. Your contributions have been essential in getting us to this point.
