Bespoken Playtest Update 0.2.8

Hello everyone!


We hope you are as excited as we are since we are now releasing our first major update! But before that we want to give huge thanks to FirstGearGames, that is officially showcasing our game in their discord server, this will help us greatly in the process of the game and we are looking forward for feedback on the game! Bespoken Version 0.2.8


Added


  • Implemented Vault Storage and Chest Storage into the game, no visual feedback when looking at but if you click E at the floor of the Vault a storage will open up, likewise with chests, when pressing E while looking at chest it will open up a storage.
  • A new animation system implemented!! Motion Matching!
  • A completely re-designed world with new graphics!!
  • More resolution settings added for 4k and ultra wide
  • New Character model
  • New Item Models
  • Adds upgradeable buildings
  • Adds resource cost on structures
  • Adds custom game cursor
  • Adds highlighted color on Player HUD when selecting a item
  • Adds the Tier 2 and 3 versions of the structures in the new building UI. So the player does not need to force upgrade all the time and can now build it directly if the player has enough resources.

Improvements


  • A completely revamped building UI
  • A much bigger world corresponding to the old one
  • New graphics on trees, rocks, terrain etc...
  • Larger Dungeon and new areas to explore
  • Improves Player Inventory feedback when dragging around objects.
  • Improves Player combat handling, now you need to hold down left mouse button to perform the attack.
  • Adds shield block, when equipping a shield and holding down right mouse button, you will block for approximately 2 seconds. Then the shield will lower itself.

Bugs


  • Fixes items being persistent in inventory as icons only when leaving and rejoining a game
  • Fixes Dungeon being completely fogged when entering
  • Fixes null reference on inventory when clicking empty spot
  • Fixes a duplication bug when dropping a item from inventory
  • Fixes unequipping a item when dying in the dungeon

Bespoken Playtest Update 0.2.3

Hello to all of you testers!


We are pushing out a small update that needs a bit of testing since we are very excited to start working with this feature, because we are going for the survival core aspects now.   • Tools added as starter items
  • Harvestable Rocks and Tree's
  • Combat & Resource damage logic to give incentive to use proper tools
  • HowToPlay Has description of GameLoop such as ( Dungeon, Loot, Monsters, Time, NightTime, Preperation, Cycle and Vault )

Improvements


  • Improves lobby name creation, now when no name is input, instead of "Automatic username lobby" it will show your steam name with 's as a lobby name.
  • Dungeon Environment has been update and more is coming
  • Health Regeneration has been improved performance wise
  • Health Regeneration has been disabled when in combat

Bespoken Playtest Update 0.2.2

Hiya everyone!

Bespoken Version 0.2.2


Improvements


  • Greys out Singleplayer button as it became confusing to know if singleplayer existed or not. (Currently it does not.)

Bugs


  • Fixes LOD Issue with dungeon entrance, this is regarding the rocks changing shape.
  • Fixes Upgrades of buildings not synchronized
  • Fixes buildings being destroyed when a player leaves the game.

Known Issues


  • Inventory UI persistent when leaving and joining a game, sometimes even keeps items.
  • AI stands to far away from foundations when trying to hit.
  • Issues when picking up equipment type items when having one equipped.

  • Remade Portal, for the portal to exist, the player needs to build the player vault.
  • Optimization of game, now we have more fps with larger and more detailed world.
  • Dungeon optimization fix. Way more fps in dungeon now.

  • Fixes item double bug
  • Fixes Buildings placeable at trees
  • Fixes Kobold spawns stuck inside each other
  • Fixes Player slope movement bug

First of all, there will be bugs and some content missing in our playtest so please don't expect a flawless gaming experience. We want to be very transparent with this to not set the expectation too high.
