I have recently updated the rules, so that when a pawn can capture an opponent, it has to perform that capture. This means that a player can intentionally place a piece to force a capture, which could in turn make the opponent in a more precarious position. Until now, the bot was not taking advantage of this. But it does now, and it makes it even more challenging to beat.

This version has the following changes - the bot is stronger. - you can change the board's look from wood to also minimalist and muted. - and most importantly, when you can capture an opponent's pawn, you have to capture. This is a rule in checkers that I had overlooked in the first release. It really adds a good strategic layer, as you can force your opponent into bad moves.

On a regular grid, each cell has 8 neighbors, but in this case, they can have between 6 and 10. Therefore tiles can have 3 diagonals or 5 diagonals, which offers different moves depending on where a piece is.
This leads to more difficult games, as you can't build the same mental tricks to take over your opponent. This also makes your opponent harder to anticipate.
Procedurally generated
Grids are procedurally generated on each game, and there are hundreds of them. This makes each game unique.
Pre-selected boards
We've pre-selected some boards that are either similar enough to a regular one, so that can ease into this new variant, or very different, so that you can really enjoy those new strategies.
And If you love a specific board, you can always find it via its name.
