Some time ago I decided to make the project a little more secure, and started using the Unity VCS (Version Control System). Unfortunately the Linux support for the plugin doesn't work. Instead of storing my files safely in a remote cloud location, it somehow destructed most of my project. For a couple of weeks I could not do anything useful, but had to salvage what I could. After that, everything seemed to work fine, until I again tried to store all my changes, when the external tools didn't want to do that. "Oh well," I thought, "I'll fix it later." Later turned into a couple of weeks, and then disaster struck: The disk where I stored the project locally crashed and burned. All work I had done to prepare for a demo went up in smoke. Some of it was salvageable, so I managed to get started to get going again on another disk. Which a week later also gave up on me. To make matters worse, a little later my depression got into the next gear, so I lost all will and motivation to continue. It got really bad, and I couldn't really do anything for a couple of months. The good news is that it's getting a little bit better, and with the knowledge I now have I have started a new project, using a different versioning system and tools, and managed to optimize the map-creation a little bit. The demo shouldn't be too hard to get into shape, and I hope to get it ready for the next Steam Next Fest in October. I'm sorry for the delays, and hope to have good news soon!
