Greetings Survivors !
After some unfortunate events that happened within Aedion Studio we were forced to slow the Development of Down2Die. From being multiple people to essentially becoming a sole person took a huge hit on the schedule of the game.
Currently Aedion Studio has been recruited with 3 awesome developers that push Down2Die steadily back on track! We have some amazing features coming up and finally implemented most of the promised game mechanics from previous development updates!
- Down2Die has received a completely new graphics overhaul. Every model within the game will receive a new and fresh look. All the lighting and atmosphere have been changed to a more bright night style whilst still keeping that zombie apocalyptic look.
- Down2Die has also received a new transportation method... The "Minecart"! This cart will allow you to travel from biome to biome and easily transport items along with you. But be cautious for zombies that might jump on the cart to catch a free ride.
- Down2Die has also received the complete survival package including the following : - Advanced Inventory - Advanced Weapon System - Recipe Crafting - Function Toolbar - Farming System - Economy System - Shop System - Hunger/Thirst/Health System - Ultimate / Upgrade System - Building / Placement System - Storage System
- Down2Die has also received a new mob! Of course it wouldnt be a exciting zombie survival without some new and interesting mobs! Although the spider is still in very early development. It already feels like a great addition to the Down2Die family.
Down2Die's core code was poorly written from the start. This caused the game to perform very badly as features were added to the game. This forced us to completely rewrite the entire core code of Down2Die. We are now proud to say that the game runs perfectly fine on the most basic systems with some even hitting 200FPS on ultra.
We are grateful for the people that still believe in the game. And hopefully look forward to the next big update that will be coming very soon ! We are still not quite sure if we will be able to meet the Release deadline but with enough hard work we should be able to deliver.
We have been working on making the game feel more stylized as well as making the map a little brighter, we have also started working on farming, the looting, inventory and crafting is working as we wish it to work, we are also planning some really cool features, stay tuned for more updates :D
We have been struggling making the inventory system for d2d but now we are making progress so ingame chests and loot crates can be realtime between all players. [previewyoutube=d18JkCnALFg;leftthumb][/previewyoutube]
Down2Die Q&A First and foremost! We are really excited to be able to participate in this event. From the start of Down2Die's development we have tried to involve the community as much as possible. This awesome event will allows us to directly get feedback and idea's from people that have experienced the current gameplay. The live event! We will talk about features and ideas we changed at different stages of the game and why we did certain things in certain ways. Also would we like to talk about the upcoming idea's we have planned for the game and which of those are currently being tested on the beta version of Down2Die. While the game is currently in very early stages we would still appreciate it if people could be open minded about it and support us all the way through the journey of creating it. Summing it up, We cant wait to show you what we have in store for Down2Die and are excited to hear all the valuable feedback to make this the best it can be! We hope to see you at the festival livestream! Kind Regards, AedionStudio Social Media:

After investigating multiple zombie games in the past and surviving countless rounds in them, AedionStudio wanted to create something really special. A game that allows you to play it over and over. To give you plenty of opportunities to customize and make you experience it differently every time you play, whether it is alone or with friends. That is why we created Down2Die, an advanced zombie shooter that can and will be enjoyed by all game enthusiasts. Whether you want to play this game single or multiplayer up to four people, it is a lot of fun to play. Execute all of the undead and receive Cubits to help you continue. However, you should watch your back…
- PowerTowers
The PowerTowers will provide you with a wide range of power-ups on a stationary location. Once you have the required amount of cubits, the switches will allow you to turn on these PowerTowers for some extra assistance. And so, whether you need to stand your ground or even heal up for a quick second, PowerTowers will always be your helping hand. - SentryGun
This majestic beast makes sure that every monster thinks twice before crossing its path. It shoots its mighty bullets and helps you defeat whatever comes on your path. While being both very chunky and loud, it definitely gets the job done. - SoulStones
This special stone is your guardian angel when you are on the verge of death. When it feels like there is no escaping, these stones can brighten the path to a way out of the darkness and into the light. - WorkBench
The Workbench will always be one of the most essential parts of survival. This item can not only upgrade you and your teams stability, it will also be able to customize your entire weapon loadout, making sure you are always locked and loaded for whatever faces you in battle.
