- Fixed another particle that escaped the previous frame rate cap fix introduced in the v1.1.5 patch.
- Fixed an issue with some particles playing too fast with certain Linux / SteamOS frame cap settings.
Greetings! Our Dev team has managed to get their hands on a Steam Deck unit, and we are pleased to share the following report on how Moth Planet performs and behaves on Steam Deck using Valve's own criteria for verification:
Input
- controller support: Steam Input and Steam Deck's controls are supported.
- controller glyphs: Steam Deck's Controller Button Glyphs are displayed when you use the Steam Deck's inputs.
- text input: the game requires no text inputs, so no keyboard is needed.
Display
- resolution support: The game supports the Deck's resolution in fullscreen mode.
- default configuration: The game above 60fps in most situations.
- text legibility: Text is legible across most of the game, with some minor exceptions where the text is made very small for narrative purpose, these are intentional.
Seamlessness
- no device compatibility warnings: no such warnings on Steam Deck.
- launchers: the game requires no launcher.
- Fixed an issue in which Landmark/Anomaly Steam Achievements may fail to trigger due to certain conditions and won't trigger again even when restarting the game.
- Typo fixes. - Credits and third party License updates.
- Fixed incorrect glyphs showing for some controllers.
- Added a cursor to make it easier to see which menu option is currently selected in certain screens.
- Updated Moth Planet to Godot Engine 4.3 - Moth Planet performance improvements thanks to Godot 4.3 may make it more accessible on weaker or older hardware, you must still have a GPU capable of Vulkan graphics, however. - Fixed a bug which made it so input glyphs weren't switching if you changed input devices while in a menu.
- Added hint to a secret moth that may be difficult to find even in the post-game.
- Fixed some more typos - Adjusted timed doors to open instantly during speedruns. - Fixed glitches that made speedrunning unreliable on multiple attempts without restarting the game.
- Adjust collision for a certain forest secret unhider. - Updated Steam SDK dependencies.
- Adjusted the color of the Post-Game Void Lore hints in Map for better contrast. - Adjusted some stray checkpoints to safer positions. - Adjusted the behavior of dialog based timed doors when loading into your save to ignore said timers if already saw these dialogs.
- Added a Post-Game Hint system for Lore Rooms, giving an idea of where the entry point for said rooms may be located if you haven't found them after finishing the game. - Adjusted some shadows for certain round objects. - Adjusted a Checkpoint. - Adjusted some Cutscene animation logic to avoid a potential softlock under certain conditions.
- Extra failsafes added for a certain final cutscene issue. Known Issue: If you have a completed save file from before 1.0.3, you may be missing 2 moths after you update to 1.0.4 and beyond, as a room was changed in the game's regional hierarchy, finding this room and interviewing those 2 moths will fix the issue permanently. The room is:
The room to the right of the jail/dungeon in the Ruin's West Wing
- Fixed issue where VSync wasn't updated according to settings. - Adjusted Forest Gate Door for cases where the player may enter from the other side after reloading their save. - Adjusted map hints for certain secrets that were hard to find. - Adjusted region for a certain room causing confusion with regional collection count. - Fixed an issue where a piece of geometry had wrong shadow polygon. - Fixed ligature readability on void text. - Fixed miscellaneous tileset errors.
- Fixed Full Screen being 1 pixel off. - Fixed a way to escape the final cutscene. - Fixed a missing checkpoint. - Fixed some extra dialog typos.
- Fixed a Tile Set issue in Forest's Refuge. - Fixed some typos.
