Coming Next!
We are busy at work releasing the next major content update and patch for The Dawning Clocks of Time Remake. We also think it's really important to make the game as accessible as possible for everyone to play and enjoy, so we've dropped the price by 50%! This is also to match the upcoming PlayStation 5 release pricing. Nintendo Switch pricing will be adjusted accordingly. With the next Content Update patch, we will be adding features and planets that were cut in the initial release of the game during development, along with performance, graphics and usual bug fix improvements. We anticipate that this patch will be ready within the next couple of weeks before the holidays.
Due to efforts to combat recenty piracy attempts, Spacefarer R&D are including Digital Rights Management in The Dawning Clocks of Time Remake. We have every right to protect the integrity and IP of our video game software. What the DRM does do; -Upon every launch of the game, it checks with Steam that the game is authorised and owned by the player. If authenticated successfully, the game will launch as usual. This takes a second or two, but it's usually instant. As soon as the game launches, the DRM exits. -Notify the user if the check fails, and will not launch the game if the check fails. -Provides executable level tampering protection, modification and prevents cracking the software and introducing potential security threats. What the DRM does NOT do; -Collect any player information -Report back or 'phone home' -Cause any bugs or performance issues. -Modify anything on your PC. -Use any kind of Anti-Cheat, device driver or kernel level space. -Impose any kind of time restriction or require a constant connection to the internet to continue playing. In the future, all updates to the Steam edition of The Dawning Clocks of Time Remake and future software products from Spacefarer on Steam will include the Spacefarer DRM. It is our own in-house solution that protects from executable modification and tampering. You can be rest-assured that releases that contain the DRM are the genuine software from us and not from unauthorised redistrubuters. Thank you for your continued support.
