The Fortitude Update - Part 1

As the development cycle for Alpha 4 is going to be a particularly long one, we've decided to split it into several parts. The first is this one, Alpha 4, and we'll follow up down the line with 4.1, 4.2, etc. This is the first part of our step towards implementing the Fortitude quest line, which is a series of smaller SCPs, along with a few extras. It's shaping up to be fairly large, especially in comparison to our other updates, and with our limited team size and scope, you'll need to be patient. We'll do our standard update video once Alpha 4 is complete, unless there's enough interest in our current plans and progress. The public build will now be stepped up to Alpha 3, with Alpha 4 rolling out to patrons, and limited playtesters. Additions:

The Slightly More Lit Update

Additions:

While this update doesn't address the high VRAM usage, it should be a solid first step towards being able to run on older GPUs with the removal of FMA. For those of you waiting for the next major update, we have a lot in the works behind the scenes, and for those of you on the demo, REBIND YOUR KEYS. When pushing that build of v0.0.2, it didn't even register that that config bug might be present, because we've been so involved with everything. It felt so old that it couldn't have possibly been present in v0.0.2... But of course it was. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Escape the facility

In SCP - Containment Breach Reborn, you'll be thrown into a secret facility where anomalous objects, creatures, and phenomena are contained and studied. As a test subject, you'll need to use all your cunning and quick thinking to evade the life-threatening anomalies that roam the foundation and collect items and clues to increase your chances of survival.

Defeat the threats

But survival is just the beginning. You'll need to take on challenges and recapture SCPs to unlock the path to freedom, using the weaknesses of the threats against them and solving puzzles to recontain the anomalies.

The facility holds more than just physical dangers - it also holds psychological horrors. Follow the perilous story of D-9341 as you unravel the mysteries of the SCP Foundation and learn about the operations and origins of the SCPs. As you gather evidence and dismantle the Foundation from within, you'll uncover secrets that have been hidden from the world, bringing light to those lost in darkness.

The layout, items, and threats are all randomly generated, so you'll never know what to expect as you navigate the imposing corridors of underground confinement, trying to overcome great odds and escape.
