Love Sucks: Night Two is now available to play, released on Steam right here!!!
It will sell for $10, and also has an Art Bookas optional DLC for people who want to support us a little extra, and have a little insight into the development process! It installs as a .pdf to the base game folder. After several years of hard work from all of us, more bumps on the road, and hurdles than we are to count, I'm so happy and proud to announce that the game is now ready and available for people to buy and play. I'm equal parts excited and nervous. At last people get to see what we've made and enjoy the second part in our game. I'm also nervous, because now is when we find out if all the effort has been worth it. Will people still like it when it's not free? Will anyone even buy it? Is it as good as I think it is? Questions we're all going to find out the answers to, and to say I'm nervous is an understatement. But I'm mostly excited! I, and the rest of us in Art Witch Studios hope you enjoy the game, that you regularly die to revisit scenes and do things different ways. There's a lot of content, and a lot of stuff you could miss. Maybe each time you play you'll see something else. If you like the game, I humbly ask you to write a positive Steam review. Those help us out a ton and help get the game in front of more people. If you want to support us, a review is the best way you can do it. If you find any problems, please don't hesitate to let us know on Discord, we are very open to feedback and will work to fix anything wrong as fast as possible! As for the Patreon: It will stay up, and the funds, as they have always been, will solely be used to support the development and expenses for making more games. The benefits may change slightly but mostly remain the same, and remember that Night Three will still take its time to develop. Any changes we make will be communicated, and we are eternally grateful for your support in getting us this far. From Kayla, the media person and assistant writer/programmer:Art Witch Studios genuinely and sincerely cannot thank you enough for your continued support and patience over the years while we work on this game. I hope you like it. It's been hard but seeing this game come to life and interacting with the community on Discordover the years has been one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. From Frosty, the lead writer/programmer:We appreciate your patience, and we hope we can meet your expectations. Thank you, all of you, for being with us on this journey and everything in between. I'm a different person than I was at the start of this, and I like who I am now more than ever. From AilaAnne, the artist:It's been a crazy journey, and I don't have enough words to express how much I appreciate Frosto, and Kayla, and everyone that helped us, AND all of you. Thank you so very much for supporting us and our game. I hope it makes you guys feel things. Thanks <3 Kayla, and the rest of the Art Witch Studios Team.
Love Sucks: Night Two finally has a release date: April 26th, at 4 PM PST, and will sell for $10!
If EA drops a bunch of shit that day we're gonna make it like Monday or something though :| It's been a long time coming. Much longer than we anticipated, but after all our years of work and effort, we can finally consider N2 to be ready for people to buy and play! We've passed compliance, we've got the date, and now we start the countdown to launch. In the meantime, we're going to keep working on it. We've got two weeks to polish it up as shiny as possible! We'll make sure it's the best damn booty titty game you've ever played, and I'm both impossibly nervous and unbelievably excited to see everyone finally get to play the game. Sorry for such a long wait, too. Turns out, game development is very hard. Everything takes a long time, and real life got in the way more often than it didn't, but we never stopped working on it. Thank you, to each and every one of you, for your continued support and patience. Whether you supported us on Patreon, joined the Discordcommunity, told a friend about the game, or even just played it once and are now reading this post, I appreciate you sticking with us for so long. I speak for all of the team when I say we genuinely appreciate, and are endlessly thankful for letting us get this far. Kayla, Frosto, and Aila A couple of things:
- We'll keep updating and supporting N2. We may add some things, we make tweak some things, and we will definitely be fixing any bugs and typos we find.
- Saves from Night One's older versions and Patreon Builds will not be compatible. Please start a new save, or you may encounter bugs/crashes!
- To Patrons of all tiers, the Love Sucks Art Book is already available, and you can grab that if you want! It will also be available for $3 on Steam as optional DLC to Night Two for anyone who wants to see some neat art and support us a little further!
- We also put together a Redbubble store, because a few people have asked if they could buy some merch. Well, if you want to, you can! Me and Aila put together some designs from the art that was made along the way, and some of it looks pretty neat :D
- (Please click 'Explore Designs', the products page only shows stickers for some reason, but we have more than just those. We may also add more over time!)
- The Patreon names in credits are now locked, so if you join our patreon now, please be aware your name won't appear in the credits of Night Two!
Good evening everyone! I forgot to put this on the N2 news and not just the N1 news! It's been quiet on the steam front for a while, but rest assured we've been working on the game quite publicly. We're mostly active on Twitter and Discord, but I apologise for being quiet over here. But let me get right to the point! In preparation for Night Two's release, we're pushing a small update to Night One with some things we've been going back to sort out during N2's development. It's not a lot, only some small tweaks. Speaking of N2's development... it's ready! Night Two is now in what I consider to be a completed state. We've just gotta talk to the publisher and find out when they want to release it. Plus, steam requires a build to be uploaded to them for compliance, and they have to approve it on their end. That could take a few days or longer, depending on them. The very moment I get a release date from them I'll announce that too! Between now and release, the team is going to be on polishing duty to make it nice and shiny :D One of those polishing things is pushing an update to N1 with some stuff we've done. I have patch notes below. If it's been a long time since you last played N1, I encourage you to run through again before N2 comes out. I know some of you never even saw the two scenes we added ages ago, with the sexy intro and the ghost in the mirror :O
- Oolay Tigers voice added to N1
- Alternate Zero Diamonds voice available for N1 in options
- Fast forward added in new system
- Naomi naughty words added, tell her a naughty word for the keyword for more fun
- DJ Cherry Bomb voice added
- Sammy game has persistence, feed him as many fries as you want and he'll remember
- New sound mixing options
- Small Sarah scene added
- Corrections done
- Effects corrected
- Sounds and extra voices added
- And more we probably forgot about!
- N1 converted to new save system. Old saves will not work in N2, but any saves from this version will transfer Please keep this in mind, an old save is very likely to cause crashes in N2!
Yes, were still working!
We're very active on other places, like our Discord, but we haven't been updating you guys on Steam as often as we really should. Love Sucks is far from dead, we're working on it every day, and it's time we put out an update to let everyone know where we're at, and to keep you all in the loop. I'm sorry it's been so long coming.
Checking in, what we're doing:
Frosto is: Programming scenes, writing more scenes, editing, designing animations, directing audio, plotting and scheming. Working on the next early Patreon build of the game.
Aila is: Done with all the art for the game, a lot of which you might have seen on the Twitter, Patreon or Discord! Now she's working on bits of art for updates to Night One, and doing tweaks to art she's made whenever she needs to.
Kayla is: Posting things on Twitter, Patreon and Discord. [strike]Tax evasion[/strike].
Here's whats left for us to do before N2 is ready:
Voices: All voice acting is recorded and cut, ready to go!. We are working to place the last pieces where they need to go and normalize it so it sounds super nice. Weve got more than 600 cues in N2, which is waaay more than N1! We have 2 more scenes to have voices put into, and then our free radicals.
Sound Effects and music: Sexy Orgasms and rocking music is harder than it seems, and weve got our sound person Dex working hard to get them done as soon as she can
Major Scenes: Major scenes are all written and implemented. What we still need is a few more intros and outros to serve as transitions because of the dynamic way that weve tried to do N2. We got three more and then theyll be done!
Free Radicals: This is Frosto's nerdy name for small scenes that fit between the major important scenes that drive the story forward. We have tiny scenes in- game that we are working on implementing, like the gang going around the festival and having memorable fun, or just talking to each other to develop their characters a little. We have a lot of drawn stuff but any ideas you might have for fun with Jan, Anna, Naomi and maybe even Addy, drop into our Discord and tell us what you think!
Future updates to Night One, after Night Two:
Oolay Tiger: Oolay is the new voice of Jan, and we have to get her into N1. We plan on having a switcher so that you can switch between ZeroDiamonds and Oolay in N1, but that takes a bit of programming
'Combo meal' in N1: We have most of the artwork in for Sarah with 'extras' in N1. Some changes in the script and story, and it should be ready for release not long after N2 is.
A few extras: Weve been kicking around a few other ideas in the Love Sucks universe, and were working on stuff to show off to you as soon as we can!
If you think it doesn't sound like much, you'd be right! There isn't much left, but it still takes time to do. We're working hard every day with those few precious hours of free time our daily lives allow us, but we hope to bring Night Two to you as soon as we can. Thank you, everyone, for your patience and your support, it means a lot!
Hello homies, It's been a bit since the last one, and it's important to let all the steam followers know what we're up to and not just our Discord. Being open and transparent is good after all. So! Despite Real Life doing its best to get in our way, with new jobs, moving houses, and sudden commitments, we've been hard at work putting together the game! If you want to try things out sooner, we do have patreon-only builds available! We're not sure of the exact date we will release yet because as we've found out the hard way multiple times, in the process of development, anything can happen. The next time that I announce a specific date it will be because we are ready to release and I know for certain that it's all systems go for the release! I'm editing the typos out of the game's script and making it flow better, Aila is working on some extra art assets to make things nicer (And we already have more than 200 CGs, so that's cool.) and Frosto is doing coding things that I'm afraid to ask about because he'll talk to me for 30 minutes and I won't understand any of it. There's a lot of things to do, and it does mostly come down to most of the work being down to one guy, who can only work on it during his free time after his exhausting real-life job and commitments. At the time of writing, Frosto is also working on audio, as we've got a lot of voice-acting lines to get through. We even have a couple of new ones, and you'll hear OolayTiger as Jan and KumBomb as Dr. Blankenship! We also have a publisher now, too: Critical Bliss! I don't want to let down or disappoint anyone else by missing the date again, and I'm definitely not going to let the team rush things to push out a game that wasn't ready just to meet the date. You guys have all been extraordinarily awesome to us ever since Night One was released, and I hope that I can repay your awesomeness with the best dang booby game you've ever played. If anyone has any questions, or just wants to hang out with us, come and say hi on our community Discord, because I'm one of those people who is always on Discord all the damn time. tl;dr we're working hard on the game. We're going to have a demo for Next Fest in June, and we'll let you know our exact release date only when the game is just about finished. Much love! - Kayla and the rest of the Art Witch Studios team. (updated 3/3/2023)
(TL;DR We're delaying, and pushing the release back, we need the time to organise, polish, and market, and March was too narrow of a window to get it all done without rushing things and releasing an undercooked game. I'm sorry. I know it must be a let down to hear this so soon after we told you all it would be out March, but we need the time.) Hey Everybody, Shigeru Miyamoto once said, "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." And even though he works in Mario and not titty porn games, it still applies to us. So much has been happening in Art Witch Studios in the past three weeks it's been pretty damn busy. We have picked up a new voice actor for Jan, who you may know as Oolay-Tiger, the Tifa Lockhart that shocked/blessed the Italian senate. Not only that, but when we were asking around for ideas on how to market our game, we got picked up by Critical Bliss, and a guy who is an expert in how to sell dirty games. He's helping us organize, and it's making things easier, and with his help, we've got a much better idea of how we should handle our first big release. We were rushing for March 14th, also known as Steak and Blowjob day. But simply put, we need some more time. If we just rush it to meet an arbitrary release date, it'll just end up being undercooked, like a certain hyped-up neon city futuristic shooter was. Frosty and Aila are working their asses off, and I don't want them burning out, or for a little company like us to start doing corporate crunch times. What this means is that we're going to be delaying the game a little. Give ourselves some breathing room, and enough time to polish it up to the point where we can go "The game is ready and we're proud of it, people will love this" rather than "Oh thank god we just managed to put something out in time and we'll patch it later." that ain't us, chief. Our publisher has suggested waiting. He was surprised how fast we were going for it, and at first, we said "yeah! We can do it!" and then we got to wondering if we should. We've been working really hard on this. We want to make it the best that it can be, you've waited long enough for it. And one wrong thing means that we'd have missed the deadline. And one wrong move, one bug out of place could turn our first release into a flop, for both us and you. This is our first big release and we want to get it right. We understand this will be a letdown to some people since we just announced it but we wanted to get it out to you as soon as it was finalized. Were sorry. I know that's a pretty long delay, and I'm sorry for letting you guys down after you got excited for March, I'm sure that if we crunched out for March it wouldn't have been good, but when we are done it'll be the best booty butt porn game you ever waxed your dolphin to. Thank you, Aila, Frosto, and Kayla
Happy Valentines Day, gamers! Although, for a lot of you it's probably the 15th by now, in which case, Happy Discount Candy Day!
I've got some stuff to say I'm super excited about this time. First off, Love Sucks: Night One has gotten another update and it should be rolling out now, so here are the patch notes:

Changelog:
-Added the first batch of achievements
-Added in new visual line design
Technical:
-Fixed Music Errors (hopefully)
-New Display system for characters
-Position fixes
-Spelling and grammar changes (keep finding them!)
-Achievement Screens
-Clearing Persistent and Achievement Data
-Fixed the Ghost Scene Unlock
-Several sprite reworks
-Sound and Music Fixes
Sadness:
-Saves had to be wiped to make achievements work right. We'll have to wipe them again in the future for compatibility with Night Two.

Yeah! Achievements! This is actually wave 1 of the achievements, just to make sure they work! There are 15 achievements right now, and we'll add some more not too far into the future.
Oh yeah, it's all coming together. Just a couple more things, then a coat of polish and it'll be ready to go. It will be priced at $14.99, and we're pretty confident it'll be worth it! Wishlist us so that you don't miss it!
Third, and this is just for $10+ Patreons, we plan to get you guys a special early build of the game so you can try it out, check for bugs, point out anything we messed up, and probably make memes about it or whatever.
To any other people interested, your last chance to get your name in the credits will be very soon! Once I gather up everyone's names and put them in the game, I won't be adding anyone else (Please make sure your name on Patreon is the name you want to appear in the credits, as I'll be pulling the names directly from there (Yes, that means that even you, Cock and Ball Torture, will appear in the credits))! You can support the development of Love Sucks right here <3
Also, an update regarding girl/futa mode for the game. It's still planned, and we'll add it in a big update eventually, but there's no ETA for when it will be added to Nights One or Two yet. It's a lot of work, a lot of the art needs to be redrawn, and portions of the script need to be rewritten, it would add months to development time. We want to get the game released and the story in people's hands before you all get bored of waiting for our slow-asses. It may be on the back burner for now, but we haven't canceled or forgotten about it!
Please, let us know what you think! Let us know if we messed something up, report bugs, etc! You can hang out with us and get in touch with us and the rest of the very awesome community super quick via our Discord! Come and say hello, we're actually weirdly wholesome. We even do game nights, hang out, watch shows, and shitpost aggressively.
Uuuh, I think that's it! Have a lovely day, everyone!
Hello friends! From Art Witch Studios, and me personally, I want to wish everyone the merriest of Merry Christmases. I hope you have a good holiday season and eat absurd amounts of food and chocolate until you regret it. I also hope you get to pet the family pets you haven't seen in a while. It also occurs to me that I haven't posted an update on steam in a while, and if you're not part of our Discord, you won't have seen us answer these kinds of questions before, so I thought it would be prudent to give everyone an end-of-year update to how things are going on our end. We're still working hard on Night Two, of course! The original plan was to have the game out sometime before the end of the year, and since that's only a few days away now, it's pretty clear we will unfortunately not be able to make that date. Turns out, this kind of thing always takes longer than expected. Sorry we're taking so long, it's hard work and life often gets in the way, but we're not slacking, I promise! Our new plan is to release Love Sucks: Night Two in the first couple of months of 2022, February, hopefully! If it looks like we're going to overshoot that, I'll let you know, but that should be enough time! While you wait, you can still add us to your wishlist so you don't miss it :D We're making good progress with the art, and have gotten some extra helpers to help the fantastic Aila color things faster, and let me spend more time working on all her other obligations. If you've been looking at our Twitter lately, you'll see just how nice Night Two's art is gonna be! We're also keeping a few fun things secret, even from patreons. I think you're gonna love 'em. Frosto is doing great with the programming, and the script is coming along nicely, we still have to edit it though, just to make sure that we only leave a couple of dozen heinous typos for you to tell us about and for us to fix while being embarrassed about it. Frosto is nice and ahead of the curse, despite having recently adopted a kitten to distract him, and he's been spending some of the extra time making Night One even nicer. We plan to have some more voice lines, and we're going to see about putting achievements into Night One within the next few weeks, fingers crossed!
The update to Night One we've been working on for a while is here! If you want something spooky and sexy to play on your Halloween evening, here it is! The Night One updated includes a couple of bonus scenes, a little bit of lewd, and some expanded plot that introduces a character who will be recurring in future nights! Here's a full changelog:
1. Added two new scenes!
2. Added pictures to other ones
3. Added more music!
-Developed a crossfader so music begins and ends better
-Discovered oggs can be better
-Relooped music!
-Releveled music for optimal listening
4. Fixed Pictures
-Fixed Dr. B's images
-Fix Naomi images
5. Added more sound effects
6. Added a sound effect on the right channel so those of you who are crazy and don't love our voice actors should be able to sit in silence.
7. Added so many voice effects
8. Many bug fixes
9. Added Replays that just show the scene
10. Reworked character select
11. Did code work for several things coming up
We wanted it out before Halloween, but we'll take Halloween itself too! Why did it take longer than we expected? Well, Frosto, the head writer and programmer heard a sad mewing at his apartment door one day, and he took in a little kitten. After finding the owner, he was allowed to keep her!
This is Callie, and she is the little troublemaker who kept distracting him.
So what's next? We continue work on Night Two, of course! When is it coming? Well, a lot of things have happened this year, for all of us. It's been quite stressful at times, but work continues at a steady pace. Not as quickly as we were hoping, but sometimes it just be like that, you know? We have more art to finish, more writing to work on, and some more fun bits to program. If we want to make this game without having a stress-induced meltdown by crunching, Night Two is going to be coming out in the early part of 2022, barring any unforeseen circumstances. As Night Two will be a paid game, I would rather give you (and I'm sure you'd all rather play) a polished game than one we rushed and didn't enjoy working on!
As always, follow our Twitter and join our Discord for updates and to hang out with us <3
As we get closer to finishing Night Two, it's finally time for us to start building up a little bit of hype for the second part. That means, we've got a store page up (after a few tries)! We're still on track for the full release some time before the end of the year. Hopefully, a couple of months! Maybe a little longer, but definitely sooner rather than later! Yay! Patreon supporters of $10 or more can also get access to early builds of the game to play it/help test it before the full Steam release! Love Sucks: Night Two can now be added to your wish list on Steam! Help us spread the word, friends! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1719310/Love_Sucks_Night_Two/
Hello friends! It's been a hot minute, I'm sorry that I don't make update news as frequently as I probably should, most of the things I have to say just get posted in our Discord, because I think Steam updates should only be for the BIG things, and most of our news is lots of little things. But today I do have a big thing! Night Two is very much going smoothly right now. Art is being made, the script is mostly written, and now it's being edited. The programming is pretty much done, and now the programmer is starting to finally put it all together. We're still on track for some time before the end of the year! We've also started making our Steam page for Night Two, so as soon as that's done it'll be up and available for wishlisting for a little while before we release the game on Steam for real, keep an eye out for that! :D Because of that, we've finally started to do what I've been wanting to do for months, and offer early builds of the game to our $10 Patrons. Each time a new scene is finished, we'll release a build, so that Patrons can experience the game as it's being made, one scene at a time. We just put out our first one, with only the first two scenes of the game. There's a couple of lewd images in there, but it's far from being complete! Expect typos and bugs, we'll be fixing these things and doing a whole bunch of editing passes to improve the wording as we go along. If anyone wants to start checking out Night Two early, you can support us on our Patreon! Even if you don't want to, thank you so much for playing our game. I hope you'll stick around long enough to see the second part! I might be bias here, but I think it's pretty good, and definitely worth seeing.
Hi All, working hard on Night Two but wanted to make a few fixes to Night One -Biggest update to this is that Anna's gift now has sounds. We had them recorded but didn't have the time to cut them up for the scene, but we finally got them in -We also did changes to the credits. It's now easier to enter. We didn't plan on it, but we've added our Patrons to Night One! (Working on that shinier bit for upper tier. Thank you all!) -Did various spelling corrections and grammatical changes -No longer says Sarah's model will be in a future update. It was in last update -Code shuffle and additional updates As always, follow us on Twitter! And our discord!
Since release, the feedback we've gotten has been almost overwhelming in how positive it is, and all three of us are genuinely touched to hear that you've enjoyed our game so far. All the reviews on Steam, and people that personally reached out to tell us they like Love Sucks, or came to hang out and play video games with us on Discord - you're all awesome! Thank you!!
Some of you might have noticed it's been a few days between posts on our Patreon, not including snuggle between Addy and Sammy. Well, there's a reason!
We just didn't have anything to show you, because before we can start making art of all the different scenes and stuff, we need to have those scenes planned out! Night One is a free 2-ish hour game that functions more like a demo for the much bigger game that is the rest of Love Sucks.
You see that little blue line in the top left? That's Love Sucks: Night One.
Everything else is our ideas for Night's Two and Three, and most of this is Night Two. It will be less linear, and each little block is an idea for a scene, event, or transition between them. Not all of these ideas are going to get into the final script (because good lord, that would be TOO big) but this is just an insight into what we've been busy planning out.
(The image is deliberately small and blurred so you don't see the spoilers ;D, it's just so you can visualize it!)
There's a lot to do, and our one artist has a lot to draw, and our one writer/programmer has a lot to write and program. How fast the game comes out depends largely on how large our Patreon grows, since she needs to be paid for her work. If we ever go a while without posting any juicy new art on Patreon or Twitter, this is probably the reason, we're working on the game's script!
When it comes to releasing date, the goal is some time late this year, but as I said earlier it depends on funding, as well as any of those other hurdles that can happen unexpectedly during the process of game development. To avoid Cyberpunking ourselves, I'm not going to announce a date until I know for sure we're almost ready.
Still, we're always available to chat with, ask questions to, or just hang out with us and the rest of our lovely community on our Discord, and our development updates on Twitter and Patreon!
we did it :D: Love Sucks: Night One, the first part of our VN is now available to play and download on Steam! I know, we've already released the game back in October on itch.io and Newgrounds, but this is Steam, the biggest games platform there is! Getting on Steam is such a big thing for any dev, it lets us reach potentially so many more people. At least, we hope so! Some of you here have probably played the game already. This Steam version is most likely going to be the best way to play the game, since we're no longer limited by the limitations of being on web. We'd gladly appreciate all your downloads and reporting any issues you find to us on our Discord, but more than that, we could really use your help in getting the word out. Hundreds of games are released on Steam every day, and we don't want to get lost in the crowd. If you would share this game with friends, or post about it on the internet to make more people aware of it, I'll basically love you forever. I market as hard as I can, but I can't be everywhere! We're going to be focussing most of our efforts on getting Night Two made, but this version of the game still has more to come. In the next couple of weeks, once our programmer has taken a well-deserved rest, we're going to add in some more music and sounds. We're also going to update our credits with a list of all of our amazing Patreons. Pretty sure that you guys are going to find some bugs for us to fix, too. Further in the future, we also want to add an option to play as Sarah (The FemC) for players that would like to play as a futa girl, or a plain female (much later) It's gonna be lots of work, but your support has been incredible getting us this far. Seeing how much you people have enjoyed our game has been really touching. Thanks again, friends! Follow our Twitter or join our Discord for updates on what we're up to! Please also consider supporting ArtWitchStudios on Patreon so we can fund Night Two and get you all playing it sooner! :D

Love Sucks is an adult Visual Novel, in which monster-kind has secretly integrated with humanity. Two monster girls, a vampire and a succubus have chosen you to be their date this Halloween! But their motives go beyond just showing you a good time... With the involvement of magical artifacts, monster police, big boobs and a sweet rump, can you survive long enough to save not only yourself, but the monsters too?
Or maybe you'll just let it happen over, and over, because, screw it, the succ is good and there's worse ways to go!
This is Love Sucks: Night One, the first part of three in your mission to get laid and not die doing it.
This is our first ever game. We hope you like it! ❤
