The Catalyst Update is now available for all players! I'm most likely going to forget a few changes, but here's the ones I can recall: FEATURES - A new act featuring 7 new levels - A new NPC - Simplified Chinese support - 4 new tutorial levels - An Undo button BUG FIXES - Fixed a bug that causing leaderboard entries to be uploaded to incorrect levels, leading to impossible scores This is the last major update I intend to release for Photochemistry. It's been a fun time, but I think I'm going to move on to a new project after this one (it may be a while). Bug fixes or small features may still be added. Hello everyone! Hope you're having a good summer. I've been working hard during my free time over the past few months on a new content update for Photochemistry to flesh out the systems and lore of the game. I'm happy to now announce what I've been up to. The Catalyst update (v1.4.0) will contain: - 7 new puzzles (plus a few mini-puzzles) - A new character - 2 new types of particles - A new area - Lots of new lore - An undo button Here's a sneak peak of one of the new particles:
I also want to introduce you to the new character: Her name is Synapse and she's been around in this facility for even longer than you have. She might be able to answer some questions you have about your history and purpose.
Both Synapse and the new puzzles will be accessible just after finishing Act 2. I look forward to seeing your thoughts and puzzle solutions! Additionally, the game's getting a Simplified Chinese translation. It will be available for all base game tutorials and menus as well as the new dialogue with Synapse. I'm not quite ready to give an exact release date for the update as I'm starting classes again soon on top of my regular job, but I'm committed to a release within the next few months.
