Overruled! Community Roundup!
We took Overruled! to this year's gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany where 2 brilliant things happened: [olist]Microsoft announced that Overruled! will be coming to XBOX One
Loads of gamers got the chance to play the game on XBOX One for the first time, ...including IGN!
[/olist]
Even if you've no interest in consoles, this is great news for Overruled! More players = bigger community and a higher profile for the game.
We revealed the news this week that YouTuber Mousie is the voice of Sasol the Pirate! The first of many YouTubers to voice the game, Mousie gives us Sasol’s classic lines such as “Tharr be no rules for pirates” and “take yer time landlubber!”, and you can watch her Overruled! story here.
Closer to home, the forums have been buzzing! You guys have been doing a great job of reporting any issues found whilst playing, please do keep that up. We've also had tactical discussions, suggestions on contols and (my personal favourite) the Looking for Players thread where lonely brawlers can find sparring partners for online fisticuffs. But, without a doubt, thread of the week has to go to: The Character Megathread The sheer madness of this discussion sets it apart. Here's some quotes to prove my point:
Bunny is pro. But Indie is "Make the girls crazy like Shaft" cool.

you beat me to making this thread haha. I'd love to make a character that's been attacked by bees or something and is all swollen up. Would look even cooler when he punches and his hand gets even bigger. :)

Maybe a narwhal?? :)) That would be fabulous
:D Keep the madness coming guys, it gives me a giggle - and I know the devs are loving your suggestions.
We’re loving the screenshots you’ve been taking and leaving for us in the community hub, keep it up – we’re using the best ones you take to promote the game! You should probably avoid looking at this Anti-Hero gif late at night though, that stare stays with you. We’re also in love with these War Stories posted by Overruled! Beta testers. We’re sure by now that you have some war wounds, so get fingers to keyboard and share your stories with the community! Last but far from least this week is the first winner of Dlala Studios’ Draw a Character competition. Massive congratulations to David Hamblin for creating Fruit Punch – now in the game! You can see the original drawing and the final in-game character here. We’re always on the lookout for your creations, so get yer felt tips out and do us a character doodle for the Character Megathread.
My job during Early Access is to raise the profile of Overruled! and get more players playing. We all know this game is juicy and awesome, but we need you guys to be shouting about your experiences too! Here’s some ways you can help us out:

Overruled is a multiplayer brawler like no other - players change the rules and objectives as they play, directly influencing the dynamics of the game. No two games are ever the same!
Challenge your friends or take on strangers in both local and online battles with up to 4 people in frantic fights to the finish. The end goal is simple - most points wins - but getting there is where the madness lies! Use over 30 different change ‘em-up cards to completely change the game as you’re playing.
You could be playing Swag Bag now, but one of your enemies might change it to King of the Hill… or Fire Tag… Or Smash ‘n Grab…
Everyone dead? Double the respawn timer! Not doing so well by yourself? Turn teams on! Got the Swag Bag? Double the points you’re earning!
Change the rules in your favour as you fight, cheat and steal your way to victory with a diverse cast of characters.
