100% New Dialogues
The dialogues have been reworked completely. Special thanks to An Airborne Cat for helping me with English issues. I'm confident the dialogue in this update is better, more natural, more fluid, and has more emotion attached to each character.
Less Dialogue
A lot of original dialogue has been removed. The demo, originally designed for a 15-minute play, can now probably be finished within 10 minutes. The good thing is that means you can try the combat quicker.
Characters Show More Emotion
Nope, Jack is still chill, but in this update, I've added some details that help with character development.
Tutorial Boss Adjustment
I got feedback about the boss fight being too long and that she had too much health. I reduced her health and added a minor move to ensure she isn't too easy to defeat.
Bug Fixes
A lot of bugs have been fixed, including: - Location bug when saving/loading game - Killing "that guy" no longer results in the scenario where he's still alive if you kill him too late. Thank you all for the feedback. It helped me a lot to improve the game.

I feel like I've shown too much about the combat without showing you guys the story, the characters, and the puzzles. I'm adding more puzzles that only your dog can solve or require both to work together.
Progression
The game is about 90% complete, with only one story branch left to wrap up. I've been expanding it by adding more puzzles and areas, creating a bigger world filled with activities. On PC, you can attack with Mouse buttons. Left click for the left-handed weapon and right click for the right-handed one.
Simplified intro

In this update, new minor bugs are introduced so I can do more demo updates, and the old ones are fixed. If standing outside the forest for too long, you will no longer get a bunch of random errors such as missing files. A new feature that could help you have an easier time in combat is also introduced. Please go to Options > toggle on Auto face to nearby enemy. With this, I hope the control will slightly be easier. When you attack, the character will auto-target the nearest enemy. In the next update, I plan to nerf the intro boss to make it easier and remove the difficulty option at the beginning of the game. That's all for this update. 1. No new GIF for today but 2 endings have been completed and I'm planning on creating a whole new game mode that focuses purely on combat, possibly it'll be a Roguelike gameplay. You'll venture from area to area and defeat bosses. Every time it's a new experience. What do you guys think of it? Would you like to try it? 2. Behold, Earthbending right in the game. I'm thinking of creating abilities that resemble ATLA, and these abilities need you to do certain things to be useful. It kinda makes the game a bit harder as it's not automatic, but I believe the combat will be more interesting this way.

A new enemy: Baby Jelly
A bunch of enemies are already ready to be explored in the full release. My recent work is Baby Jelly, which can burn anything and chase the **** out of you if you provoke it. It has a lore that you can find out more about when the game is out.
Fashion

Weather System
The weather system is and will be enhanced. It'll have a day-night cycle, with the night being quite dark and long but you'll get more rewards exploring at night.
Lots of new caves to explore
It's not a diverse world without dungeons and caves. I'm adding a lot of caves to the game. Some caves will have small puzzles to solve and mini-boss to fight. If you have interesting ideas on how to make caves exploring more fun, pls tell me via Discord.
Resting Campsite
There'll be a campsite where you can rest. It recovers all your hearts and re-spawns all enemies. You can also have the option to rest till morning or night. And that's all for this devlog! After receiving a lot of feedback from you guys, I've made some changes that I believe will improve your experience further. Demo ver 2..2.0 New Language: Turkish A special thanks to Mert for translating the demo into Turkish. Less dialogues The demo might have a lot of dialogues, therefore I decided to replace them with shorter ones or even remove them. Take all weapons In previous versions, you can only equip 1 weapon at a time. In this version, you can take all weapons and use them simultaneously. Switch weapon button -> Use second hand's weapon button Completely removed the switch weapon button. Tutorial boss is more balanced Swapped the phases of the tutorial boss so it seems easier. Well, it's not really magic, but it's close to that. I'm working on a new weapon type: Barehand.
If you've played the demo, you'd know we can attach DNA vials to our weapon, but now you can implement them directly to the ground, which creates different "spells" for each vial.
Unfortunately, the demo version won't include this weapon, but stay tuned for more optimization and bug fixes.

You had the option to cast all the special abilities by using combinations of keys, but now you can also assign an ability to the quick cast button.

After a lot of consideration, we've decided to reduce the demo length from 1 hour to approximately 30 minutes. But, there'll be a very difficult level for you to try the combat of the game. Below are all the changes.
Dialogues overhaul
We've completely changed the dialogue in the beginning gameplay so it sounds less goofy and more serious.
Special Attacks
Your knife and bow now have special moves that you can trigger by pressing the movement keys + attack key. But, you can quickly access your previous special attack by pressing Ctrl on your keyboard or X if you're using a gamepad. This is just a test feature. If you enjoy the way to trigger the special attacks, we'll make it official.
An open level for you to test your skill
After you've finished the demo (the ending showed up), you'll be transferred to a wide area and you'll be provided with a bow and some creature DNA vials for you to try on your weapons. This area is mainly to showcase what the combat is like in Into Samomor. It's quite difficult but we hope it'll be enough for you to have a better understanding of the game's mechanics. Please update the demo now to enhance your overall experience!
We'd like to share a quick look at what we've been working on.
Firstly, you'll be able to access all special abilities early game and they can be activated by using a combination of keys. Please see the gif below for a better understanding:
These special abilities enhance your basic attack, but if mixed with the right DNA bottles, it'll be extremely powerful. The gif above is what you'll be able to create if you fuse Pierce with Vines plus the Left Right Left Right combination.
Lastly, a new creature has been developed and it'll also have a back story or you can say a quest revolving around it!

Fuse
In the demo, you can only inject 1 DNA, but in the full game, this number will increase. Below here is an example if you fuse Vines and Explosion together.

With the fuse feature, you can combine multiple Monster DNAs to create various variants to boost the power of your weapons.
Mix the DNA of two vine creatures to transform the surrounding environment into a thorny landscape, or combine the DNA of exploding butterflies to increase area damage.
Of course, this mechanism will be further enhanced in the complete game. With the fuse feature for creature DNA, you can play the game more creatively and have better control over combat.

I'm working hard to improve and create features that make combat more interesting and offer more customization options, one of which is the Monster DNA feature.
After you defeat a large monster, such as a boss, you will be able to collect its DNA. If you implant this monster's DNA into yourself, you'll gain its abilities. Let the GIFs below better illustrate what I'm talking about.
Monster DNA will be collected in a glass bottle. The more bottles and implantations you have, the stronger you become and the more special abilities you acquire. By default, at the beginning of the game, you can only implant one DNA.
Each monster will offer two types of DNA, and you'll only be allowed to choose one. Depending on whether you want to play as an archer or a melee player, you'll need to make your choice carefully because once you choose, the other option will disappear forever.
