Patch #9, Thanksgiving and Diplomacy for Dummies

In our bi-weekly update schedule for this year, we're introducing Patch #9. It brings a lot of balance changes to treasures and other strategic elements in dominant highscore builds. Some other items/treasures got boosts. And if you go on an expedition in the coming 24 hours, you will notice a nice little nod to Thanksgiving that brings new fun to your encounters. Read the full patch notes here. Since many expedition leaders participated in the previous story and highscore challenge, we've decided to introduce a weekly challenge. If you're looking for a new challenge in Renowned Explorers, or want some roleplaying constraints, then definitely take a look at Diplomacy for Dummies. It runs through the weekend, so submit your highscores and stories in time. Steam just started the Exploration sale. Obviously a near-perfect fit for Renowned Explorers, so we decided to do a big discount to welcome new fans. Our continued work on the game is made possible by you and the other fans that bought at full price. Vivid Stories - Find more than a hundred treasures in hundreds of visual events that adapt to the characters and have multiple outcomes.
Build a reputation - Become a Diplomat, Aggressor or Manipulator. Go for Science, Wealth or Status. Fame is your goal, but the way there is entirely up to you.
Permadeath? - In Adventure mode you cannot load after failure. Discovery mode lets you reload. Choose difficulties from Easy through Impossible to customize the challenge.
