
Gods vs Horrors is a roguelike card auto-battler focusing on synergies, scaling, and positioning. You'll need to adapt to the choices offered and enemy compositions. Recruit and dismiss Gods, reroll your options, increase your devotion level to get access to more powerful Gods, and fight Cosmic Horrors in automated battles.


- Take synergies and scaling to another level. Each roll could deliver the final piece for your build or enable a crazy change in your composition.
- Spend your divine essence to strengthen your army now or use it to increase your devotion level and gain access to more powerful Gods later. Balancing short-term survival with late-game power is key to creating an unstoppable build.
- Position your Gods to counter the enemy's formation and composition. Combat is automatic, easy to follow, and deterministic (no RNG). It can be sped up or slowed down as desired.


- Create unique builds with 165 gods from 10 mythologies and 30 different relics. Unlock options through play, increasing the variety of available choices without power creep (horizontal meta-progression).
- Fight against 5 different bosses, each with their own cast of allies and environmental effects, requiring you to devise specific strategies to beat them.
- Apply difficulty modifiers to challenge your decision-making.

Japanese were by far the strongest and most consistent mythology, so they are getting some nerfs. Additionally, some mythologies that were underperforming are getting buffs.

How is it played?
Gods vs Horrors captures the pure essence of drafting in card games, focusing on synergies, scaling, and positioning. If you love making decks more than actually playing them, this is your game.The gameplay alternates between drafting and automated combat phases:
In the drafting phase, youll recruit and dismiss Gods, level up the pantheon to access stronger Gods, and roll your options. By drafting youll build strong synergies and scaling mechanisms, making your build exponentially more powerful than its individual components.
Before combat, youll have the opportunity to position your Gods for optimal damage. Combat is automatic, easy-to-follow, and has no RNG; allowing you to understand what is going on and diagnose why you won or lost the last fight.

Who is making it?
Gods vs Horrors is made by Oriol Cosp (developer and game designer) with the support of Isaac Murgadella (Illustrator), and Enric Cosp (Musician). They already released The Ouroboros King in 2023 on Steam with 18k units sold during the first year and 87% of positive reviews.What languages will Gods vs Horrors be playable in?
