Thank you to all 5600~ steam users who've given our game a go. It has been a pleasure to receive your encouraging comments and reviews. Here's what I've cooked up for ya!
Gradient Gap
The Remixel DLC has been a big hit! So I decided to add even more content for the owners of it. Introducing a new game mode called Gradient Gap. In this game mode you will progressively get harder and harder levels where you need to place a single block in the correction position. Who knows how far someone will go, so far my best has been Round 22.
Tournament Still Holding Strong!
We are running another Pixel Fixel tournament in our discord. A corresponding page with details has been is in the game. Essentially, players will compete in a 1v1 single-elimination tournament to win prizes. Join us in our discord to participate, we're having our 6th season of the tournament on November 24th! Looking forward to seeing y'all there.

New Colors
It has been pointed out that the way we generate the colors for each puzzle is not ideal. Long story short: we've been using raw RGB values interpolated between the corner blocks. This creates a slightly muddy color for the middle blocks in a lot of cases, wherein the color isn't what you would expect. To adjust for this, we've rewritten the color generation system to go into OKLAB colorspace, form a gradient, and then back to RGB. This gives the colors a more 'realistic' appearance. Here's an image that demonstrates a before and after this change. In a lot of cases, the change will be very subtle, in some cases, it will be more pronounced. Hopefully, this helps people judge which colors go where more easily :)
Tournament
We've teamed up with Lospec to run a Pixel Fixel tournament in our discord. There is a corresponding page added to the game that has details. Essentially, players will compete in a 1v1 single-elimination tournament to win prizes. Join us in our discord to participate, the first tournament will be on May 18th 7:00 pm US-EST.
And more!
- Fixed Level 25's name. It had a duplicate name with a different level.
- Added a new way to scroll through levels, 5 pages at a time!
- Added a "wave" function to the collection screen, why the heck not!
- Levels start in a more aesthetically pleasing way, with the blocks appearing and growing.
- Fixed a bug that caused a screen transition to take way longer than normal.
- Fixed a bug that caused level metadata to not update when going back to the level select screen.
- Added more users to the credits, thanks so much for your help, everyone!
- Fixed a bug that caused lag when viewing the collection screen for some low-end devices.
