More bugfixes, more save slots and in-game lyrics!

Thank you everyone for your reviews! We've reached Overwhelmingly Positive which I officially puts us in the cool kids gang and will grant us entry to gamedev valhalla. We're still working on localisation and expecting to deliver it soon. Meanwhile we're pushing this patch with smaller changes and lots of bugcrash fixes. Switch has also received a patch recently and we'll keep updating it to make sure it's quality matches the steam version.


Patch Summary


  • Reworked save menu and allowed more save slots
  • Added subtitles to in-game songs.
  • Fixed a lot of crashes.

  • New load/save menu with 5 manual and 10 auto saves, and fixed some graphics bugs there
  • Added song subtitles
  • Couple patches to player combat inventory, so killed characters drop ALL their items and also so it doesn't get duplicated if you win the combat and get back
  • Added camera pan scaler so that people who are motion sick can turn it off
  • Adjusted Itzae skill tree so the passive upgrades are visible right away
  • Restored character HP in starting bar silently when they are re-added
  • Now coins show correctly if you have 99+ coins
  • Added healing loot before bog ambush so players don't get instakilled
  • Made it so you don't have to have Atzi to dig up previously discovered gold and some other Atzi interactions
  • Added flags to avoid accidentally skipping Holyground interaction
  • Fixed various description inconsitencies and typos
  • Patch so teleport works as dash on Mountain Temple
  • Reworked Lamb logic so Zoka and Lamb are different events and trigger independently
  • Ending Guilt threshold adjustement
  • Nerfed Brace slightly.
  • Nerfed mushroom spread mushrooms slightly
  • Fixed goat mission and password box
  • Fixed (some) infinite money exploits
  • Fixed El Gallo fight not triggering animations

Bugfixes, Demo, Assist Mode, and What's Next

First of all thank you everyone for enjoying Arco, and reporting all the bugs! If you played Arco but haven't left a reivew yet, please do, it helps


Patch summary


  • Lots of crash and bug fixes. Let us know if you find anything we missed.
  • Demo! Some people asked so we brought the free demo back! It's important to notice that the demo is the first 2-3 hours of the game and that the saves carry over to the final, if you choose to buy, so it is the best way to see if you like the game!
  • Assist mode in settings for players who care about the story but are struggling with combat. You can use it to blow stuff up, skip combat and turn off ghosts. We recommend experiencing the game without it, but we want to make sure everyone can get the most fun out of the game.
  • Option to skip Act I when replaying the game. To make Obelisk hunting and looking for alternate paths a more pleasant process.
  • Holding space previews bullet paths. Thanks for the suggestion.

What's next


  • Localisation. Arco will be translated into 6 languages: - Spanish - LATAM - German - Simplified Chinese - Russian - Japanese - Portuguese - BR The translations are planned to release before end of the month on Steam.
  • Switch patches. We realise Switch version of the game runs worse than PC and has additional bugs. There's a Patch on the way addressing the main issues. As we can't instantly push new changes to Switch, the fixes there will lag behind the ones here. Hope you understand. We hope that the upcoming Switch patch will be accepted by Nintendo in the following week.
  • More and more fixes. Hopefully, most of the issues are now resolved, but we'll keep an eye out for more bug reports and tackle them asap.

IGN EXCLUSIVE ARCO PREVIEW - They like it!

Hello folks! Today is a pretty exciting day for our crew, as IGN published their exclusive preview of the game (the first two acts), and it turns out they think Arco is a pretty cool game. We've been in the weeds getting the game ready for launch later this year, and hearing that it sounds like we are on the right track has been a nice morale boost. The fine folks at Latin American Games Showcase have invited us over again for the Summer Game Fest edition of their show, and we are showing off a pretty neat boss fight with them on June 8 @ 10 AM PT. Mac compatibility and Resolution fixes
