We're pleased to announce that Katawa Shoujo is now officially Steam Deck Verified! Thank you very much to Valve for their review and approval. This verifies that Katawa Shoujo gives a good experience on the Steam Deck, including its text legibility, game controls, and interface. No reconfiguration is needed: just install from Steam and run, and your cloud saves will also come over. We've also pushed a minor fix to try and resolve continuing issues around achievements, external language patches, and achievements. ( ` ) Thank you everybody for playing so far!

We have pushed an update to resolve an issue with achievements not unlocking properly in some circumstances, as well as a full screen cursor bug. There is also now support for unofficial languages patches to be compatible with the Steam build - including German, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. We have pushed an update to resolve an issue with full screen mode not displaying correctly on high resolution monitors, including 4K and Retina monitors. Thank you (_)!!

We have identified an issue regarding cross-compatibility between save files with previous versions of Katawa Shoujo with the Steam version. We have pushed an update which should prevent the game here on Steam from picking up save files from other versions. Please do not try to load save files from previous versions of the game on Steam. This update also resolves an issue with Steam cloud saves not applying across platforms. We are looking into a bug where the game does not display properly in fullscreen on certain monitors and are hoping to resolve it soon. Thanks everyone for playing ) !!
