Again a huge thank you to anyone who has tried out MUST FIND BEANS. Today I am opening up a limited playtest for anyone to try out the current experience. Along with this, there are several additions and fixes that have been made. Most importantly, logs can now be found at the current locations depending on your system OS. It would be great if you could include the relevant log for the crash when reporting an issue. If you like, reports and feedback can be left as comments in the discussions of this announcement.

Fixes and additions

Steam

• Added Steam Leaderboard support for level times
• Added a Steam Achievement for achieving a sub 10 second time on Level 1
• Steam Cloud Saves are set to share storage with the main game, meaning that upon release all relevant playtest data should be present

Visuals

• Increased contrast of UI elements for better readability
• Added skylight shafts to better visual breakup of the first level
• Darkened the starting room

Audio

• Added adjustable audio levels for Music and SFX
• Enemies now emit a firing sound when attacking the player, with their projectiles also emitting an audible note

Other

• Fixed a possible crash that could occur when loading save data that may not exist yet
• Fixed the player not being able to slide on steep ramps
• Fixed enemies possibly dropping more than pickup on death
• Added a new bind: Q, to quickly reset level progress
• Added a queued notification system for pickups and other messages
• Increased the player's maximum health from 100 to 150
