About the Game
In Alien Paradise, an extraterrestrial being decides to visit our planet, staying more specifically in Brazil, to enjoy their vacation. For this, the player has to learn animation patterns that are presented at the start of the level. Throughout the level, one must press the button associated with the action shown on-screen, getting the closest to the right timing, following the rhythm of the song.
Main Features
- Challenge your rhythmic abilities in more than 30 levels, each one of them representing a touristic, cultural or ordinary activity the alien wanted to do.
- Select the scoring difficulty that better suits your playing style. Normal Mode is ideal for those who aren’t familiar with rhythm games, while Hard Mode demands more precision and attention from the player. Improve your precision to better score and get up to three stars, representing your performance.
- At the end of each day, face the travel journal: a special level that interpolates between some of the activities played until that point. Get ready to test your memory and, more than ever, your attention.
The E.T. is a jolly good fellow!
Exactly one year ago Alien Paradise was released, and not only I wanted to celebrate this achievement but also add important updates, with a special surprise:
Random Mode
Yes, a new mode!
When playing in the \"Quickplay\" area, some levels will show the \"Random Mode\" option. Playing in this way, you won\'t have to know when the animations will occur.
A little reminder that the scores obtained in this mode don\'t count for the Leaderboards.
Among this new feature, those changes were implemented:
Leaderboards: guess who\'s back, now using Steam\'s structure, to guaranteeit\'ll work in the best way possible. Remember that it only accounts for the scores from the Quickplay area while the Leaderboards are on.
[/*]New title screen: giving more dynamism and energy when opening the game, while also you have the option of changing the game\'s language to make the life of anyone who wants to learn a foreign language easier.
[/*]Controller navigation fixes: some problems when navigating using a controller were found in the Quickplay screen and solved.
[/*]Wrong menu bug fix: solved an issue when player would be redirected to the wrong menu (going to the Story Mode while being in Quickplay).
[/*]Button selection more blatant: to avoid doubt, the selected interface button now changes size and gets a more noticeable outline.
[/*]And more subtle fixes and enhancements.

I want to thank to everyone who have played Alien Paradise so much in this one year period, and to those who met the game before it \"arrived our planet\". And if you\'re getting to know the game now, welcome and I hope you have a lot of fun
In this Alien Paradise update, players who speak Spanish, French or Japanese can travel Brazil with the most synasthesic and touristic alien in the galaxy in your prefered language
This update also solves the following issues:
- Error that were stopping players from unlocking the achievements "No Help Needed" and "Three's a Lot!"
- Navigation problems when leaving the Settings screen, that could send the player back to the wrong mode
- Being sent back to the Story Mode while playing Quickplay if the level was played again
Small bugs in the "last" Travel Journal level were solved, as well in our internal file loading system
But, most importantly, now your Steam username will be used when you send your scorings to the global leaderboards instead of the random generated code
With the most recent update of the game, now you have two ways to experience the trip among the most synasthesic alien in the galaxy: Story Mode and the all-new Quickplay Mode.
The story mode is the traditional way to play, where the days are unlocked as the activities and the Travel Journals are unlocked. And, at the end, there is a surprise for those who like additional challenges.
While in the Quickplay Mode, all activity levels and the ultimate Travel Journal are unlocked by default to be played in whatever order you want. Besides that, the player can send their scores to a global Leaderboard, if they want to. Can you stay in the Top 10?
The game also recieved more subtle updates to keep with its quality of life, providing a better experience ever more.
I hope you like these news.
Alien Paradise was developed to be a light game, easy to run in the majority of computers running WIndows or Linix, but the developer also thought on the SteamDeck experience.
- For the commands used in the levels, the player can use the A and B buttos, the directional button to the left and right or the triggers, giving as many options that may be the most comfortable for each player.
- The menu navigation can be done using the game controls or touching the screen directly.
- All phases were tested to guarantee the game performance wouldn't be downgraded running on the device.
So, if you have a SteamDeck, you can use it to have a synasthesic experience with Alien Paradise on the go.
Small but important changes were added to the game, giving even more clarity to the gameplay and general experience.
The specific list of fixes includes:
- False hit animations: animations that are displayed when you press a button too early or late won't appear over the mistake animation
- Overclick: the code handles the "overclick" message to avoid information duplicity
- Pause key: the game gives a quick heads up on how to call the pause screen (it's always been in the game, but some players didn't know that
- AV/Sync option: this settings option was enhanced with more info for better clarification on how to use the controls and better performance in-game
- And other smaller fixes
- Clearer feedbacks: if you overclick, the game displays the information in a less confusing way, as the overclick messages don't overwrite the hit or miss feedback
- Music on repeat: background music for some of the navigation screens don't stop abruptly when reaching its looping point
- Legal stuff: some important information regarding copyright was added to the game credits
- Minor enhancements and fixes
A small correction had to be patched
Still, if you find any oddity, get it touch through Sendo Estudio's social media or at our support e-mail listed in the game's steam page
Thanks for playing Alien Paradise
