Thanks to our extremely talented translator Silvia Saorn Miralles, My Sweet! Housemate now has an official Spanish translation. We deeply appreciate Silvia Saorn's efforts and hope that you all will too! Both the full game and the demo now have Spanish as a language option, you can change it from the main screen or in the settings at any point.
There was a bug where sometimes achievements wouldn't properly sync between the game and Steam. It has now been fixed.
We have changed some fonts to allow the players to enter names with special characters.
We have touched up Alisha's sprites.
We have also fixed some typos.
We want to say thanks once again to our amazing Spanish translator Silvia Saorn, and to all of you for supporting our silly game!
We are also happy to announce that there will be a Brazilian Portuguese translation of the game soon!
Until next time
Hi there! We've been made aware of the reoccurring issue for some players. When launching My Sweet! Housemate, some players may encounter a pop-up that falsely identifies the game as a threat or produces an error message. We've found that this is caused by Microsoft no longer recognising the new build of Ren'Py (the engine My Sweet! Housemate uses) as a safe program. Ren'Py Tom (the creator of the engine) has already requested a change from Microsoft, but it will take some time for it to go through. https://github.com/renpy/renpy/issues/6089 We've made a list of temporary solutions that may work for some people: 1. Make sure your Windows Defender is updated to the latest version. You can find out how to on this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates 2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. We've rolled back the patch with the newest build of Ren'Py, so reinstalling the 2.0 build might resolve the issue. Don't worry - all your progress is safe as it is stored in a separate folder. 3. If the above does not work, you can try creating an exclusion for My Sweet! Housemate folder in your Windows Defender. You can create an exclusion by following these steps: [olist]
