Aestik Patch 1.3

Hi folks!

Aestik's new patch just dropped - Addressing the most commonly requested features!

So, here are the Aestik 1.2 + 1.3 patch notes:

Additions:

Added player position on the map: The map now shows the accurate player position on the map! (1.3)
Added custom map markers: Click left/right in the area selection menu on your map to mark places of interest! (1.2)
Added new assist option: Item icons on the map show you the position of collectible you haven't found yet! (1.2)
Back button works on all menus now! (1.3)
Added more invincibility frames when getting hit by enemies (1.3)

NEW Aestik Update + Steam Halloween Event

We're part of Steam's Halloween Event that runs from Oct 26th - Nov 2nd! In honor of that, we've just updated the demo!

Here are the most important additions and changes in a nutshell

DEMO UPDATE

New Ability System + Quality of Life Additions & More!

Hi folks (: We're thrilled to announce that we've just updated the demo once again! We made a lot of "quality of life" additions & changes to improve your experience with Aestik. As always, please feel free to join the official Aestik Discord to let us know what you think (...or to report any bugs you encountered).

Here are the most important changes & additions:

Rune System - Abilities in Aestik can now be equipped and un-equipped as you please + we've added rune descriptions! (see screenshot above)
Map System - The map now highlights the room you're currently in!
Improved Player Controls - You can now look up/down by holding the respective button while standing still!
Visual Improvements - for example tiny falling leaves in the Bubblewoods that give the Realm of Aestik even more life and atmosphere! (:

New Quest Line incl. New Decision + More Accessibility Updates

Hi folks (: Were super pleased to announce that weve just updated the demo! We made some changes in terms of accessibility (yes, Aestik becomes more accessible by the day :D) as well as adding a bit more content for you guys to test out. [olist]

NEW QUEST LINE + NEW DECISION

Introducing Oddfrey on his strange quest to find nihilism in his life It's the Oddguy's mission to preach nihilism, but poor Oddfrey stands out among the crowd - he's simply too happy in life. Help him get back on track, find nihilism, and become the true nihilistic self that he yearns to be.

SETTINGS MENU

Aestik now has its very own settings menu!
With the new update, you will be able to customize your player experience even more as you can now individually adjust the volume of Aestiks background music as well as SFX.
After doing some playtesting recently, we became aware of the fact that screenshake can be off-putting or straight-up irritating to some players which is why we implemented the option to turn it off/on if youd like.
Also, are you guilty of running Aestik on a computer that is closer to a toaster than the high-end gaming PC of your dreams? We got you covered! Weve implemented the option to change the game's resolution to well anything between Aestik-if-it-was-pixel-art and crisp-as-morning-dew -> you choose!
And lastly, is your eyesight getting worse? Me too, dude. But all jokes aside, too small of a screen or losing your glasses is no longer an issue because the size of the dialogue boxes is finally adjustable - so, happy reading, everyone!

Button Rebinding + German Localization Now Available

Introducing:

Button Rebinding
German Localization

Button Rebinding

An accessibility feature which we wanted to implement for a long time is now finally available for Aestik's public Steam demo: Button Rebinding. Now you can choose custom keys and decide which action will be triggered by which button (works on both keyboard and gamepad).

German Localization

Also, the demo is now completely translated into German! This includes all in-game texts, such as the game's menu, the intro cutscene, character dialogue and object descriptions.
