Curators, delve into adventure!

Curators across the planes, its time to polish your dice (and if theyre weighted, well know), fluff your woolly hat, and for good measure, brew some dragon fire potions as we delve into the new, exciting adventures in update 4.0.

You can forget your everyday museum curation for now because were about to send you to the ends of the Countys map! The first grand adventure takes you deep into the Pointy Mountains; brave the peaks and befriend yetis as you uncover the truth behind what really happened to the mysteriously missing curator from Memento Mile.

Then, dust off the snow (and your dragon fire shields), as youre whisked away to the fairy tale lands of Scorched Earth. Try not to get too lost in the whimsical enchantment, and remember, never follow a goblin off the beaten track, as there are six new exhibits to discover, and a party to assemble, in the Fantasy Finds taster.

So, whats new?

• Gather a party to embark on a fantastical adventure ahead of our DLC release. The Fantasy Finds free content includes:

  • The ability to hire new Fantasy Experts

  • The first three Points of Interest in Scorched Earth: The Fledgling Arms, Fairydale and Wishfell

  • The first six Fantasy Exhibits

  • The first seven Fantasy Decor Items

  • The first five Enlightenment unlocks, through Fantasy Analysis, including a new interactive display.

  • New guests will begin to appear in museums that contain Fantasy Exhibits

  • New Fantasy items for the Gift Shop

  • All other Points of Interest and associated objectives and items will require the full Fantasy Finds DLC, opening 17th July.

Fantasy Finds Taster

Well, well, well. It seems our goblin friends have gone a little overboard with the whole unleash the magic button. Or perhaps they just really like shiny things, and couldnt wait? Either way, fantastic news for you, curators! You can now start gathering your party early, in anticipation of the full Fantasy Finds adventure dropping on 17th July.

You can now embark on fairy tale (and slightly fiery) adventures to the first three Points of Interest in Scorched Earth! Unearth a treasure trove of fantastical exhibits and wondrous decor to really bring a tavern vibe to your museums. And the best bit? Everything you unlock from these first POIs is now in the base game, just like magic. Its not a demo, you see, your hard-earned loot is yours to keep (if you keep the thieves at bay, that is).

Or if you just cant wait, you can jump straight into the fantasy fray from the get-go, in sandbox mode.

Pointy Mountains Finale Level

Alright, curators, prepare yourself for the ultimate test of your curation skills. With your pointiest trowel and fluffiest brush at the ready, its time to open the frosted doors to Pointy Mountain.

Your museum career culminates in this brand-new finale museum, perched precariously atop the Countys Pointy Mountains. Its got snow, its got mystery, its got yetis, and an incredibly chilly exhibit.

Once youve achieved Curator Class VII, this epic final museum unlocks. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to unearth the truth behind that pesky missing curator, who wed all just assumed had ran off. Best five new stars of gameplay as you befriend yetis to discover a new exhibit and entertain two new guest types, in our largest museum location to date.

Twitch Drops: Costumes

Were excited to bring a closet of silly costumes as Twitch Drops return for Two Point Museum. Channels streaming the game can now opt in to these fabulous staff costumes, meaning you lovely viewers can earn free stuff whilst watching them curate. Drops are available for all players to earn, on both PC & console.

Watch your favourite streamers from now until 7th August 2025 at 15:00 BST to grab these costumes celebrating the release of update 4.0. You can check out the full instructions on how to redeem drops (or set them up if you're streaming here. The items do not offer any unfair bonuses to gameplay; theyre cosmetics for your staff members.

Scaling Staff Ads

If youre keen to jump into adventuring as quickly as possible, speed-run gathering your party of Wizards, Rogues and Bards by hiring multiple experts at once. When posting for a manual job ad, you can now select whether to advertise or 1, 2 or 3 roles at once - no more waiting around for job ads to become available.

[img src="https://clan.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/images/45147557/62326b33e57a64452aae68c51d01a8b10e3ae867.png"][/img]We know how frustrating it is to play the negative trait lottery when hiring for roles, so not only can you now advertise for multiple positions at once, but weve also had an overhaul of the expert traits table so things are a little more balanced now, and experts will be less likely to have more than one negative trait.

Botany-themed Humidifier & Heater

Whilst not completely invisible, these camouflaged utility items lend themselves to creating immersive botany displays for your guests to enjoy. These items are now available in career mode and become available once the Overgrowth Jungle point of interest is unlocked in the Two Point Sea expedition map.

As usual, this update also comes with a load of bug fixes, improvements and optimisation changes. Weve also upgraded our game engine, Unity, which should bring improvements, too.

Fantasy Finds

• All players can now access the first three Points of Interest (Fledgling Arms, Wishfell & Fairydale) of the new Fantasy Finds Scorched Earth expedition map ahead of its full release

• The new Fantasy theme is now discoverable in Scorched Earth

Improvements & Fixes

Quality of Life Improvements

• When setting up a job ad, you can now choose to advertise for 1, 2 or 3 applicants. When the applicants appear, they will not disappear unless manually dismissed

• Botany-themed Heater and Humidifier can now be accessed in career mode after unlocking the Overgrowth Jungle POI in the Two Point Sea expedition map

• When setting up a tour, the Buzz section of the rating now also displays bad, average, great or perfect next to the total Buzz

• Some POIs now have a POI Hint section in the bottom-right of their POI overview. These hints provide more details about important systems like Hospital POIs and unique exhibits

• Staff Trait Reworks

  • Globetrotter - Changed to give a status effect instead of an instant stat buff

  • Travel Sick - Changed to give a status effect instead of an instant stat debuff

• When viewing the Exhibit List, the subcategories of a theme will now sort correctly

• Weve slowed down the speed at which baby fish grow so the joy of parenting can last for longer

• Rebalanced expert trait drop tables so that experts are less likely to have multiple negative traits

• Fixed an issue where Wailon Walters could lose his invulnerable trait, which could potentially soft-lock career progress
