It is the future. Video games are dead.
War has left the world polluted with microscopic autonomous robots.

This deadly disease is known as RUST.
Instead of games, players are hired by the rich to remotely pilot fast nanobot crafts to blast the Rust.

Hi everyone!

I\'m pleased to share a fun little update for Cell Sword. As well as a few fixes I have added a new level, called \"At The Movies\". It\'s available for free as a bonus mission inside the game.

It\'s quite different to the other missions in Cell Sword. In \"At The Movies\" you have to guard four MediWeapon MouthTurret installations that a customer has had installed in their mouth to protect them against Rust infection. MouthTurret installations are the latest micro hardware products from MediWeapon. They automatically lock on to Rust and blast them to pieces. Yes some customers have been reporting scorch marks on their cheeks but that\'s just the cost of good health, right?

Something I\'ve tried hard to do with Cell Sword is make each mission special in its own way and genuinely explore the setting inside the human body and how that affects level design. This is my most \"mushy\" level yet. I really think it\'s gross, which has been my dream for this game since day 1.

Additionally, there are a few nifty fixes to Cell Sword this release:

I\'d love to do more missions (especially some more maze-type ones) and even Cell Sword 2 one day but I can only go where people want me to go! So suggestions always welcome in the forum. Updates note for 12th September 2025

Hi everyone,

Cell Sword has settled in now and I think it\'s a solid little game that delivers decent 6DOF action in a pretty good package.

This update beefs up the features for people who use the mouse. New remaps and a new preset for people who like to use the numpad. These suggestions came from raZor who runs a pretty good 6DOF discord that organises multiplayer events for games like Sol-C, Overload and Descent. Check it out! Thanks raZor!

Honestly, I don\'t know where to take Cell Sword next! More levels, more scythe upgrades, more interesting weapons, new Rusts, new box art, beef up the story between the missions... there are a lot of possible directions that I\'ve got ideas for but I\'m not committing until I get a sense of what players want.

Hi everyone!

It's been one week since Cell Sword released and here is the first post-release patch! Cell Sword is my attempt to make a really approachable entry in the pretty hardcore genre known as 6DOF (six-degrees-of-freedom).

I can already tell this game is going to be quirky in that it attracts hardcore Descent fans and more casual players interested in a fun time. This update is a mixture of streamlining some stuff for the speedrunners AND sanding off some rough edges for new players. A few balance suggestions have come from the SpaceGameJunkie community - thanks!
