Hello to whoever sees this, I don't really know how Steam announcements work. I figured I should probably give a short update as to what I'm working on. First, I need to do a lot more explaining about the game. I'm going to make a couple YouTube videos, one that is a general overview of the game and one which is a deeper dive into the card game mechanics. I do have a rough draft of a rulebook that is available in the Discord, but it is very rough and will be changed a lot. The next goal is being able to play the card game against yourself, so I can start to balance the cards themselves and have other people try the game a little bit. The deck building screen is functional now. You can filter with OR or AND with left and right click, add and remove cards, save and load. This way decks can be built to playtest the game. I'm currently working on implementing the game and card logic, as well as adding all the already made cards into the game. Once this is finished, I'll make it so you can play against yourself. After I play it a bit myself, I'll open it up to other people to help balance the card game. It will probably be wildly unbalanced from the get go, so everything is open for change, and I left myself plenty of room to still add more cards. The card editor will not be functional yet at this point, but the cards can still be edited easily but just opening up the JSON files. So anyone who is testing out the game mechanics can just edit whatever they think should be changed and then see how their changes work out. Getting the actual card game functioning will be my primary focus for the next couple months. Once it's functional, I'll be looking for people who are big card game players to help me playtest and balance the cards in the game. I'll probably make another update on here next time I hit a major break point, which is testing the card game mechanics. Until then, feel free to reach out, I'm most accessible on Discord and Bluesky (though other social media works too). Until next time, Connor

🕹️ Partial Controller Support
🎮 Full Controller Support
Here are some bullet points about the game before I go into more detail:
- A completely new TCG with a lot of depth!
- Lots of cards and ability to add your own!
- Customize basically anything!
- Hardcore mode and grind reducing options!
- Runs on a potato!
- A story!
- Beep-y music!
- Difficult to pronounce words for English speakers!
- Really horrible card art until I can afford better art!
- Made almost completely by one guy!
Plot and Modes
In the story mode, conflicts in this world are settled by card battle. The only issue? The richest nobles control all the most powerful cards. You play as a young girl named Zyna, and you don't even particularly like card games. However, you end up getting roped into a conflict that pulls you all around the country and then some.
In addition to the story mode, there are free battles if you just want to play quick games against previously beaten opponents, or to grind for more cards in your collection. Speaking of grinding, the options menu allows you to adjust the number of cards and rarity distribution of cards in a pack, if you want to make it easier on yourself. On the other hand, if you want to make it harder on yourself instead, there are two built in Nuzlocke modes, where you lose cards permanently if they're destroyed in battle.
Card Game Mechanics
The actual card game you play is brand new, and plays unlike any other card game out there right now. There are many, many mechanics that will be explained in the tutorial and as the game progresses, but here are a few highlights so you know what kind of a game you're in for.
- More than 400 cards
- Ship-based deckbuilding
- Battles in two distinct phases
- Crew members are used to provide mana
- Ability to play on your opponent's turn
- Equipment focused combat
- Few distinct phases
- Six colors with unique playstyles
Really, and I mean REALLY customizable
- Edit the cards or make your own, that's fine.
- Edit your collection to give yourself cards, sure.
- Edit the enemy decks if you want, go for it.
- Put your own music in there, why not?
- Replace the images with something else, okay.
- Change the whole script, nothing stopping you.
- Edit the map files, you're allowed.
You can basically turn it into a totally different game if you want! And then upload your changes to Steam Workshop so other people can play the completely different game you made!
