Lots of attention was given to stakes schedules in this update. This includes setting antes, Big Blind, Small Blind and Bring amounts and schedules for a game.
We're out of Early Access! We just released a major milestone! Straight Up Poker SE 0.11.0.0 is "Release Candidate 0". All the features are in their final form. The 1.0 release will follow shortly. Barring any major critical bugs (unexpected), the 1.0 release will be pretty much identical to this release. New in this build since last months release:
This release is the first release that could represent the "1.0" version of the game, if no major issues are found during testing. Those of you who have made bug reports, thank you! This helps immensely in tracking down problems in this large code base!
* Many under the hood bug fixes * Fixed issue of corrupted game data when overwriting existing game saves. * Table rendering and interaction improvements. * Zoom in/out by double clicking on players/table * Adjustable font scales for table text * Expand hand cards by right-clicking * Optional auto-expanding of cards. * Player list tab makes players at the current table bold for easier identification * Added some additional validations to game parameters to prevent invalid selections
Custom games are now easier to manage. Custom game rules and custom mixed games are now managed through a single "Custom Game Library". Numerous bug fixes related to custom games are also included in this update. Some custom game rules created under older versions that contained certain errors might now load. Sometimes in prior versions, custom games were left in an inconsistent state between the game in memory and the saved data on disk, leading to inconsistent behavior. This should be fixed now. Game Design Windows now check the modification status of the design, and ask to confirm closing the window if unsaved data exists.
Release Notes:
* SOUND! Sound effects are now supported in Windows and MacOS. (Linux may support sound at a future date)
* New Games Types added:
* A-6 Lowball Draw Poker
* A-6 Lowball Triple Draw Poker
* California Lowball
* Game designer polish
* Support for prohibiting Check-raises in game types
* Support for optionally prohibiting checks based on the players cards.
* Removed several experimental design steps that were not fully supported in the engine
* Tons of under the hood improvements, crash fixes and logic errors.
* Removed Multiple Runs and Straddle Bets as options for new games, since these features are not yet supported in the engine. They will return in a future update.
