Were thrilled to share that Yarn Guardians will be featured at Indie Game Fest 2025 in Cologne, Germany! Come visit us at the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne on July 11 & 12 to try out the latest demo, chat with the devs, and maybe even win some exclusive goodies!

Yarn Guardians is a 2D action-adventure that combines elements of shoot'em up games and the open level structure of Metroidvania games with twin-stick shooter controls.

Help Rudy and his friends to restore the balance in a fragmented world:

Rudy's peaceful life changes abruptly when his home is wrecked by carrot wielding bunnies. He embarks on a journey unaware that he is following in the footsteps of the legendary Yarn Guardians. On his path, the adventurous cat encounters power-hungry villains, shady characters and new friends.

Gameplay

  • Twin-stick shooter-like combat controls
  • Fight with five unique Yarn Balls to defeat adorable foes
  • Meet numerous hand-animated protagonists, enemies and NPCs
  • Fly and fight your way through colorful hand-drawn environments
  • Enjoy a light-hearted, humorous story

Local Multiplayer

  • Play the main campaign alone or with a friend
  • Compete against each other in a four player versus mode
