Gameplay
The Game now has Three Distinct Modes that can be chosen when starting a new civilization:
- Three Against the Odds (the original game where enemies spawn throughout day and night with some rest periods)
- Total standard monsters which used to begin at 2 now starts at 1 in this mode and increases slightly less as you level up
- Three Against the Night - Standard Enemies only spawn at night although they can survive into the day if not killed.
- Total standard monsters starts at 2 in this mode and increases slightly more as you level up
- Gone Fishing - A Sandbox mode where no standard enemies spawn. There is no campaign associated with this mode.
User Interface
- The new game modes now display in your civilization
- Campaigns also display in your civilization when starting
- Some minor changes to how buttons appear in the game

Bugfixes
- Ruins that did not have a reward crashed the game upon destruction
- Fixed issue with upgrading Charm ability to level 4
- If you were a Canopog at Level 4 (2 movepoints per turn) and had Assassin's Sanctuary the Sanctuary did not move properly with you until all move points expired. This is now changed so that it moves on each move and leaves a trail behind

Additional creatures are now classified as "Abyss" which means they can be destroyed by the Book of Reckoning artifact.

Gameplay Changes
- The game now has a tutorial. You will have to enable it on existing Civilizations/Profiles but it will be enabled by default on new ones
- When you play as Frok a cemetery will appear sooner
- Steam and Frost no longer harm settlement buildings
- When you fish with the magnet lure you can no longer lose your bait
- If End Game was caused by starvation the game would crash when displaying the end game box
- Lemur's and other thieves were not reliably dropping stolen loot when killed (Note, they aren't supposed to if in water/explosion/over pit)
- Poison duration was occasionally going into negative #'s and continuing to harm hero

Gameplay Changes
- The end boss towers of the first campaign no longer have their own regular attack as it was ruining some otherwise very successful runs. They still have lob attacks and dispel abilities
- Fixed issue with save/load camp resources
- Some items were still not being added to corpses, believe this to be corrected now

- Charm ability description missing "are immune"
- Tide Wisp Healer Lifespan description overruns on last line
- Gates can get cards applied to them that should only apply to towers
- You can talk to gates and walls as if they were towers
- Phantom Armor Description was crashing game
- Max Food of Camp Was Not Restoring Properly
- Puff Ability had incorrect number of starting charges
- Fixed key binding issue specific to removing the Spotlight Hero key
- Minor change to hover behavior of cards to prevent vibrating effect when hovering over bottom of card

Three Against the Odds is a base defense fantasy roguelike.

Yet another magic wielding jerk from another dimension has spoiled an otherwise reasonable existence and banished Frogkind, forcing them to roam the world of Primeva, hunted.

Build Your Character and Your Species
- Remain a common frog or evolve into 3 additional amphibious species with differing strengths and weaknesses
- Choose skills from three distinct schools or become a knave and choose a skills from each school
- 23 Separate Powers
- Buy, find or craft over 100 unique items
- Boost your character with the power of gemstones or cash them in for money or magical powers
- Uncover the secrets of the world of Primeva and learn what seeks to destroy it
- Defend and Build Your Settlement
Protect and Enhance Your Settlement
- Light resource management -- stock up on food before you journey to harsh climates or face the winter
- Workers will gather food, stone, gold and wood and build your settlement
- Hire additional workers and mercenaries
- Manage the production of weapons and potions and keep your trade route in tact
Monsters and Mayhem
- Fight hundreds of different types of monsters spawned by the bordering terrain
- Risk/Reward--Decide whether to anger additional enemies by attacking Crypts, Snake-Pits, Dungeons or Thieves Dens
- Face the dreaded behemoths who ignore you and attack your settlement instead
- Face distinct tribes of enemies as you travel across Primeva
- From the usual fare to the bizarre - fight shadow spiders, the undead, minotaurs, dragons as well as chicken dragons and disgruntled squirrels
- Try to avoid the many other perils of the world from fire, lava, clouds of hot steam and poison to hallucination inducing gases and parasites
Take a Break and Do Some Fishing
- Gather or purchase bait and lures and cast a line
- Catch panfish, trophy fish or discover allies or monsters below the waves
- Come on, you have time to pull that bass out of the water before the ethereal eel bites your head off!
